Hello, Beauties!
Wish you a very happy Bijoya Dashami & Dussehra. Durga Puja is over and now we have a year-long wait ahead of us. I have spent a great Durga puja and hope you all have had a great time too. Today I did a very special look for Dashami and it’s a traditional Bengali look which is quite bright and bold. A pure Bengali look means to create a bold, long winged eyeliner with bright red lips. It goes perfectly with a traditional outfit, especially a traditional saree. I always love such bright looks. Now, let’s get into the step by step tutorial.
Face:
First I have applied a primer, then applied concealer on my under eye area and then applied my foundation with a makeup sponge. Next, to set everything, I used a compact power and blended it well. To warm up my face, I lightly bronze up my face with a bronzer.
I then used a fresh pink blush on cheeks and also applied some golden highlighter on the highest parts of my face. I kept my face makeup very natural and glowing.
As I applied lots of powder so to set everything well I sprayed some finishing mist & dabbed my makeup to make it long-lasting. It also gives a nice glow to the skin.
Eyes:
Step 1:
For eye makeup, I applied a transition brown shadow on my crease to define them well and blended the shade smoothly with the help of a round blending brush.
Step 2:
Next, I applied a rust brown shadow on the crease as well & blended it with a light hand and mixed the colour with the previous shade well.
Step 3:
Next, I used a cranberry shade on the lid area and blended the shade until it got a smokey effect.
Step 4:
After that, I used a concealer to cut my crease area and with a flat brush, I have drawn a line from my inner corner to outer corner. I also set that area with some compact powder.
Step 5:
Next, I applied some shiny rose gold shadow on the cut crease area and blended it well.
Step 6:
Now, I created a nice long winged liner on the upper lash line.
Step 7:
I then applied a black kajal on the lower lash line and blended that shade with the same cranberry shadow. I tried to create a natural line.
Step 8:
I finished up with filling my eyebrows and applied a light highlight shade just below my brow bone. Next, I curled my lashes and applied some mascara.
Lips:
A Bengali festive makeup is never complete without red lips so I applied a beautiful true red lipstick on lips which totally brightened up the look.
Here is my final look. I applied a big red bindi that I love with such a look. I wore a light yellow saree and paired it with some bright jewellery. It is a fresh yet bright makeup look that I hope you enjoy and recreate.
