IMBB Sponsored Product Review

Hello girls,

How are you all doing? The spring has officially started and that brings back colours in life after the black and grey shades of winter.  Talking about colours, how can we forget the color we wear on our lips and cheeks. We mostly wear two different colours or products for lips and cheeks, but Stila has these cute small cream colors which can be used as lipstick as well as blush. I got the Stila Convertible in the shade Peony, but did it really work as a 2 in 1 product for me or it failed, read on to find more.

My Experience with Stila Convertible Color Dual Lip and Cheek Cream – Peony:

Stila Convertible color comes in many shades for different skin tones and occasions. The shade “Peony” is a beautiful brownish rose shade which would suit fair to medium skin tones and would go well with warm undertones too.  Unlike the very pink blushes which do not look very appropriate for all occasions, this is one blush that you can wear any time. I wear it to work and to outings also, it looks equally good always. It does look dull in the pan, but on the skin, it looks more vibrant and colourful. Talking about using it as a lip color, it comes out as a beautiful n*de shade which looks very Kim Kardashian style, but somehow that does not go well on my yellow undertones.

Talking about the texture, it does not have a very creamy texture. It is more powder creamy, but once applied on to the skin, it’s easy to blend. I have combination skin, which is more on the oily side, still this cream blush never looks too greasy on me and did not break me out. I use it with fingers and with brush too. I feel with fingers, it takes more product to get the desired look but with a brush, only a small amount of the blush gives the desired look.

Blending is equally easy with fingers as well as brush. However, though it’s needless to mention, sanitize your hands before using this product so that you don’t end up contaminating it. On lips, it glides easily, but if you have dry lips, it will not look good.  The shade “Peony” especially is not a very flattering shade on pigmented lips.  So, I mostly use it as a blush.  The packaging is cute, the case comes with a mirror, which is very useful for application on the go.

I like almost everything about this product except for its staying power. It stays on for 3-4 hours and then fades away.  However, when a power blush of a similar shade is applied on the top, staying power increases.  Overall, I love multipurpose products, but this one, I love more like a blush than a lip color as this shade looks lovely on my cheeks but not so lovely on my lips. I recommend this to dry skin and combination skin beauties looking for a cream blush that would look suitable for all occasions.
