I am a total lipstick junkie and I have been eyeing these gorgeous liquid lipsticks from Stila from ages, and finally, now I have picked some from this range. Reviewing Stila Stay All Liquid Lipstick in the shade “Lume.”

My Experience with Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick Lume:

Let’s start with the packaging of the product. The liquid lipstick comes in a clear, cylindrical tube with gold detailing on it. The tube has a dull gold screw on cap that shuts very securely. There is doe-foot applicator attached with the cap. The applicator is soft but it is quite flexible. So, I have to be extra cautious while applying the lipstick to avoid bending of the applicator and to get precise lip lines. The see-through packaging helps to spot the shade easily. The shade name is mentioned at the base of the tube. The tube is sleek and does not take much space in my clutch. Overall, the packaging is fun and travel friendly.

“Lume” is a gorgeous magenta kind of shade with strong berry undertones. This shade is flattering for all Indian skin tones. It suits my skin tone amazingly well. It instantly brightens up my face. It goes well even with minimal makeup. I don’t need a full base makeup to flaunt this color. The shade itself is capable of enhancing the whole look. I really love the colour on my lips. The lipstick is super matte and looks classy. There is no significant sheen or shimmer in this lipstick. The formula is insanely pigmented. One swipe of this lipstick gives an opaque finish to the lips. I apply a second coat to even out the edges and make the lipstick look even. So, I am quite impressed with the color pay off. It completely hides pigmented lips in one go.

The texture of the lipstick is thick and mousse like hence it glides smoothly on the lips without any drag. The formula is lightweight and feels comfortable on the lips, but it dries and sets pretty quickly, so I have to be really quick while applying it on my lips. It does not have the tendency to crumble and it does not have any streaking issues, but it may looks a little patchy it layered on too much. It does not settle into the fine lines of the lips. The lipstick is absolutely waterproof and smudgeproof. It does not transfer at all.

It even survives a heavy meal with minimal fading from the center. It does not dry out the lips. My lips do not feel dry even after so long. But being a matte lipstick, it does highlight the dry patches of the lips, so it is mandatory to properly exfoliate and moisturize the lips.

The lasting power is super long, lasts easily for 7-8 hours on my lips. The color looks fresh and intense all the time. It does not smear at all. Removing the lipstick is slightly difficult, as you will need a good makeup remover to remover it perfectly. But, the best part is it is non staining and gets removed completely.
