Stone Bindis and How to Match them with Clothes

Stone Bindis and How I match them with my clothes

Like how I collect perfumes, watches and foot wear I also collect pretty bindis though most of the time you can only find me with an empty forehead [in spite of being a married South Indian :P] I do use them when I wear salwars and sarees. I usually prefer very small sized bindis and hence you canโ€™t find many big ones in my collection.

As I have proper storage for all my stuffs, except cosmetics, even all my bindis found a proper place in my chocolate box. My dad got these chocolates from his overseas trip and I have all the bindis in this cute little yellow box. The wooden box has all long bindis and that is all the big ones I have.

Big ones

I usually wear such long and big bindis with heavy designer sarees and lehengas. I always feel heavy work in your clothes must be complimented by wearing subtle makeup and large bindis. I have these large ones in all possible colours ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here is my collection in this box.

Regular bindis

Everyday Bindis

Though I donโ€™t wear bindi everyday I always carry them in my handbag for emergency. If at all I had to meet my granny or other relatives it is safer I go with a bindi else Iโ€™ll be the talk of the day. So I carry these simple bindis with me always.

Bindis for salwars

I prefer small ones to go with my salwars and I have a huge collection of small sized bindis ranging from single stoned ones to cluster of stones. Here are the pictures of the ones in varying sizes. I always match it with the colour of my clothes. Sometimes I even add or delete few parts of the bindis to make it suit my clothes.

Medium sized bindis for traditional silk sarees

I usually match my silk sarees with round bindis or the ones in the shape of a semi circle. Very rarely I go with diya shaped ones.

Here are few more bindis that I match with my designer saree which are not very heavy. Most of the bindis in this collection are inverted pear shaped and I prefer that particular shape usually for my designer sarees.

I also get a bottle of glue [2ml] that is meant for these bindis. So whenever I lose the gum with those expensive bindis I apply the glue and paste it back in the strips. I have bindis that range from Rs.10 per packet to Rs.100 per bindi [in gold].

Hope you all liked my bindi collection. If you have suggestions for how to match these bindis with my clothes do share the same as I just go with what I feel and have never got any suggestion from any one so far.
