Streax Pro Hair Serum Review

Streax Pro Hair Serum Review

Hello Ladies,

After reviewing my first product on IMBB, Streax Pro Nutri Care Shampoo and Masque, I am back with another review on the product from the same family – Streax PRO Hair Serum. This product too belongs to the Streax Professional Range. After using Streax Pro Nutri Care Shampoo and Masque, I felt it would be good to use a hair serum from the same range.

StreaxPro Hair Serum Review

Product Details:

It claims the ultimate frizz-free formula instantly seals silky smoothness into hair cuticles. Enriched with Vitamin E smoothens rough and damaged strands to make them shiny and frizz-free.

Price:

The MRP for 100 ml bottle is Rs. 160 with shelf life of 3 years. The price is again very reasonable, though it belongs to the Streax Professional Range. Generally, products belonging to any brand’s professional/salon range are generally very highly priced.

Packaging:

Unlike the shampoo and masque, which come in an unattractive packaging, the hair serum comes in transparent, green colored, plastic bottle with pump dispenser.  I think the packaging is quite cute and practically convenient to use due to the pump dispenser. It helps in controlling the amount of product to be dispensed. Also, the clear bottle packaging helps you to keep the track of amount of product been used.

Hair serum

Fragrance:

It smells good as it contains almond oil.

Ingredients:

Cylclomethicone, Dimethiconol, Light Liquid Paraffin, Octyl Methoxy Cinnamate, Iso Propyl Myristate, Perfume, Vitamin E and Almond Oil.

Usage Directions:

Apply hair serum after shampooing. Take a few drops of hair serum, rub them between the palms of your hands, and then smooth the serum over, across, and through your wet hair. A dollop about the size of a 50 paise coin should be enough. Distribute the hair serum evenly, starting near the ends and working up to just below the roots as advised to me by a hair stylist or alternatively, if you have more frizzy hair towards your forehead, like I do, then start applying your serum from above and work towards the end. You should avoid spreading serum on your scalp and the roots of your hair, particularly if your scalp tends to be oily. Once you have applied the serum, you can let your hair dry naturally, or blow-dry and style as you normally do.

My Experience with Streax Pro Hair Serum:

Its been around 2 months since I am using this hair serum and one of the reasons for buying this product in the first place is that I am using the shampoo and conditioner from the same brand. My hair demands some kind of serum to control the frizz after every wash and this product does succeed in doing that. Initially, when I pump the serum on to the palm, it feels very greasy, but in about 30 seconds of time, it gets absorbed into the hair and I feel nothing in the palm.  It does help in de-tangling the hair too after washing it. I always wait for my hair to completely dry out before brushing my hair and whenever I brush it, I hardly come across any tangles in hair.

It also provides extra shine to my hair. Whenever I use blow dryer or flat iron on my hair, I also apply it once more post using these tools for the extra shine. Though I have been using this product for 2 months now, I have used nearly half way through, it will last another 3 months easily for my medium length hair.

Pros of Streax Pro Hair Serum:

  • It’s an inexpensive product and will easily last for 5-6 months.
  • It helps in styling hair while blow drying or using flat irons.
  • De-tangles unruly hair.
  • Provides extra shine.
  • It controls frizz in straightened, permed or color treated hair. It works well on normal hair as well.
  • Easy to control the amount to be used due to pump dispenser.

Cons of Streax Pro Hair Serum:

  • Availability might be an issue as it belongs to professional range.

Final Verdict on Streax Pro Hair Serum:

It is a good product at a reasonable pricing. However, I think there are lots of other good hair serums available in the market and I would like to try out those products as well before deciding on if I want to make Streax Pro Hair Serum as one of my favorite products.  I will keep you posted once I decide on my favourite hair serum.
