Street wear Color Rich Lipstick Brick Sand

Hello beautiful ladies,

Well I have never tried wearing dark coloured lipstick but since winters are here so I decided to buy dark shaded lipstick to see if I can carry it. Winters are perfect for trying such colours which we won’t wear otherwise in summers. I bought this lipstick keeping in mind the season and also I have seen so many good reviews on IMBB about Street wear lipsticks so I thought to buy one from Street wear itself. Read on to know further how it fared for me:

Packaging:

The packaging of this lipstick is very flimsy and not sturdy. The bullet was shaking lightly while I was applying this lipstick. I thought it will break if I drop it by mistake. The cap didn’t shut with a click so I doubt if it is travel friendly and I also doubt that the cap will loosen its grip over a period of time.

Price:

INR 160 for 3.5 grams.

Texture:

It glides on smoothly on my lips. It did not tug my lips. The lipstick is creamy but it did not settled in fine lines. Although it is creamy but it did not moisturise my lips enough and I started feeling dryness within an hour.

Pigmentation:

The pigmentation is okay. Two swipes are enough to coat the lips nicely.

Colour and fragrance:

When I ordered this lipstick I thought the shade would be a nice brick red as the name suggests but it turned out to be a reddish brown shade it is not chocolaty brown. The lipstick has a very faint scent which disappears within minutes after application.

Staying power:

The staying power of this lipstick is not very impressive it lasted barely 1-2 hours maximum on my lips after which it started fading. With meals and tea it faded even more quickly however it did not stained my lips.

My take on the Street wear Color Rich Lipstick Brick Sand:

Well as I have said above I thought it to be a nice brick red kind of shade but it did not turned out to be like that rather it turned out to be a brown shade with red undertones. This particular shade Brick Sand is very appropriate for winters as it uplifts the face on gloomy days. Thought I didn’t get what I expected but I don’t have any complains as this is a very nice shade and I like it very much. It instantly brightens up my face and looks nice on me as I have yellow undertones. The texture is creamy and the lipstick is easy to wear and take off too. It will come off my lips even with cotton dipped in water. I have never tried wearing such shades but I am glad it fared well for me and suits me well too. The scent of the lipstick is not very strong but it is not very pleasant to smell either, I am glad it fades quickly after application. I appreciate the fact that street wear lipsticks are very affordable and won’t burn a hole in our pockets which makes them great for college going girls who can give these lipsticks a try.

1. It is a good shade to wear in winters.
2. The lipstick is pocket friendly.
3. It has creamy texture which makes application easy.
4. The pigmentation is good.
5. It didn’t settled in fine lines
6. Brightens up my face instantly.
7. It is easily available.
8. It did not stain my lips.

Cons of Street wear Color Rich Lipstick Brick Sand

1. The packaging is a big turnoff.
2. The smell is not pleasant either.
3. Don’t expect it to be very moisturising.
4. Staying power is less.

IMBB rating:

Well I will give 4/5 because of the cheap packaging, the scent, which I obviously don’t like and the missing ingredients list.

Do I recommend Street wear Color Rich Lipstick Brick Sand?

Well YES, considering the price I don’t have much expectation so they are worth trying once and I love this shade it is perfect for winters. But I am not going to repurchase as I think Elle 18 ones fare better than these in terms of price, quality, smell, ingredients etc.
