I am back with another lip product, a Lip gloss from Street Wear in Pink Desire. And before telling y’all about this, let me confess, I have never come across such a pretty shade ever. Irrespective of all its cons (yes, it has cons) I love it. It always happens that my most favorite product never gets reviewed first. I don’t know why I forget about my favorites but this has always happened with me.
Getting back to Pink Desire, what the Street wear claims:
Street Wear Colour Rich Lip Gloss is ranks high on colour and glamour. It leaves your lips looking gorgeous and shine that stays on for long. Apart from giving glam colour to your lips, it also moisturizes them so that they don’t get dry even hours after application.
Make your lips irresistible and glamorous in just one swipe with Street Wear Colour Rich Lip Gloss. Just put it on and stay stylish and envy for many.
Features and Benefits;
• Moisturizes the lips
• Stays on for long duration
• Doesn’t smudge as the day goes by
My take on Street Wear Color Rich Lip-gloss Pink Desire:
Since I have already mentioned in the beginning that this is my HG shade, you must know that it should be a pretty shade. Period. That’s the only good thing about it. Apart from that everything else is just crap. It comes in a transparent tube with a cheap black plastic cap attached to the doe-foot applicator. The packaging is just tacky. It leaks if you don’t keep it vertically upright. Not at all travel friendly. The fragrance is not so bothersome, but I am not able to figure out what it smells like exactly. Whatever it is, it smells fake though.
The applicator is just okay. Nothing exceptionally great. But I prefer to use a brush to fill in my lips rather than this. The texture is similar to other lip-glosses except I find this a little less sticky. My hair doesn’t stick to it like fevicol base unlike the Maybelline and the Lakme ones. But it’s still not any good, as it hardy stays till I go out and my hair blows cause of the wind. The maximum staying power is about an hour after which there is no trace or tint left behind. And no one can even tell that there was any lip-gloss on your lips. It doesn’t dry up the lips, but settles into fine lines, pretty quick. In spite of all these, I see myself applying this every day to work. I am simply in love with this shade. And the worst part, I could never capture the color perfectly in the pictures. It’s already my 2nd tube, thanks to the leakage. I can’t stop myself from buying these in spite of all these cons! Someone please suggest a similar shade in lipsticks! I am already hunting in Lakme for something similar!
Pros of Street Wear Color Rich Lip-gloss Pink Desire:
- A very pretty everyday office n*de shade which goes well with anything and anytime.
- Little less sticky and creamy than other lip-glosses that I have tried so far.
- Easily available and affordable too.
Cons of Street Wear Color Rich Lip-gloss Pink Desire:
- Cheap packaging.
- Fake Smell.
- Very low staying power.
IMBB Rating: 2/5 (2 completely for the shade alone!)
I know there are many pretty lippies with similar shades with longer staying power, so I wouldn’t recommend. It’s only the shade that made me buy this one the second time around.
