Streetwear Rich Matte Lipstick: Misty Rose Review

This post goes out to one of my close college mates, who fell head-over-heels for this shade.  She called me to say that apparently she hunted the whole Dwarka, Delhi area down, but could not find this shade and the only shop she found it, there was only the tester available.  I know that feeling babe and hence we all resort to online shopping 😛 She came back home and ordered it online, yipee for online shopping any day!! She also purchased a similar shade “Fruity Fawn,” which I have reviewed, now you know why we are friends, both these lipsticks are my top favourites and hers too 😛

Coming back to this lipstick, she said she couldn’t wait for it to be delivered and hence she hunted IMBB down to look for my review and called me up to review it for her, so she can see it and feel happy in the meantime :P, so here it is. I don’t know how I had not reviewed this breathtaking shade which is my absolute favourite any day.  This one and Fruity Fawn from Streetwear make for my most favourite light shades on days I don’t know what to wear.

This shade is very similar to Fruity Fawn in the regard that its the peachy light brick shade that it is, but this one is a little deeper.  Both the shades I would say are mattes, and the finish is matte crème. So, I love these to death 😛

This shade is a peach mixed with light rust or brick and makes for a perfect shade for office. The texture is like a mousse or like cream which comes off thick when applied,I wouldn’t call it a sheer lipstick.  It does not bleed, it stays on for about four hours on me and dulls after two hours like any other lipstick.  If you compare it with Chambor Powder Matte,  this one is lighter and more comfortable to wear.

This lipstick is not at all drying I would say.  Though it is matte, it is just amazing to feel. It has a feather finish.  I don’t know if something like that exists. The shade is my personal favourite any day, though on bad skin days, it would really wash me out.

You can mix it with a deeper brick according to your complexion and use it if you find it too light.

The issue with the lipstick is that the case broke at the bottom. Then, the lipstick itself is so soft that it is crumbling under pressure.  Hence, I would suggest you keep it in the fridge and use it with a brush.

Last Word:

The shade, the crème matte and no-drying texture is to-die-for.  This is undoubtedly one of my top five favourites, a very simple affordable shade, I believe priced at Rs. 250 now, order it NOW!
