Streetwear Satin Smooth Lipstick-Bride’s Mate

Another lipstick of my mum’s which I had given her long back.She has been wearing maroons all her life and I introduced her to orangey browns. This lipstick is very much around still and is out and out maroon/ bridal shade. We have a lot of Streetwear sating smooth lipsticks reveiwed already on IMBB and hence I wanted to add to it by this reveiw of a maroon. Also long back, someone had asked me on a maroon lippy suggestion, this one if for you ! 🙂

The color is called satin smooth but I think there is nothing so smooth about it. The lipstick is average, feels hard and a little rough and it has to be layered on to show the real color true to the tube.

I find the shade to be a pure maroon, a very mature color or may be a bridal one, but the name could be a misnomer, unless you want to match this with your bridal lehenga which is this color. Apart from this, I have seen a lot of mums wear this color.In case you want a maroon shade for someone who as been wearing maroons all the time, then this is a great pick.

The packaging is nice and simple, and just a word of caution, it does not click lock! Please do not carry this lippy around. 😛 The color is almost semi-matte with a little bit of sheen to it, but it does not have any shimmer or glaze/ frost to it thankfully.

The color could look patchy after application and I recommend using a brush and may be a balm underneath so that the color could glide well. The staying power is good since this is a deep color. The shade has red/brown undertones to it and I reckon very fair skin will rock this shade.

Last word:

The shade is a pure maroon if you are looking for a maroon, the color is a deep one and I suggest this shade only for mature women,personally I don’t like the color or the texture either!
