Streetwear Stay On Blush Pink Sugar

Like I said I did a major haul from streetwear and many other brands actually from Pune. I am sharing the review of a lovely matte pink blush ,which I am positive not many of us own. I mean not many of us have such a hot Barbie doll pink blush and that too absolutely matte. I am in a serious blush phase and I don’t leave the house sans it, if you would have seen my FB pics, I wear blush in very light matte shades considering I have oily skin. I adore matte blushes more so plum and mauves but this one came as a pleasantly surprising doll pink shade in matte.

I have seen how much of a difference blush can make. We don’t have to associate blush with evening party or shimmer but serious true color blush has to be more natural and matte. You can count on your highlight for more sheen but keep your blush matte, and you will find yourself reaching out to blushes everyday. I use my lakme absolute highlight bronzer combo (which I had reviewed ) and fill a matte blush in the gap between my highlight and bronzer that is the high cheek bone and the hollow of the cheek . 🙂 So I can always count on my matte blushes and hence refrain from shimmery blushes.

This blush costs 475 rupees. The packing is like the copper goddess quad I had reviewed long back from this range. Streetwear has shimmer blushes in the lower range of Rs 300 to Rs 350 I believe in the regular packing .But this stay on one claims longer wear and hence, the price point. There are no mattes in the regular ones as far as I know and therefore I liked this range better. There was another shade I fell for in wine which was semi matte.

The blush is soft, pigmented and smooth to apply. It is not those kinds where you put it on the cheek and then it refuses to blend. This one is powdery, may be a little chalky as well but that is what makes it so matte, perfectly matte. The powdery texture makes it not so concentrated and hence it blends on evenly like a dream. It really does not leave you cheeks looking patchy but gives a fresh look. You can wear this over just your powder as well and it will look perfect for day wear. Once it blends it wont look so stark pink. And the matte finish keeps it looking natural.

The problem you can face with this is you may find it too powdery. I won’t say the powder falls all over the place but make sure to use a smaller and softer brush with it to keep the chalkiness in control. Another issue might be that it is unsuitable for yellow, olive and dusky skin tones. It goes better with very fair and fair skintones honestly, but do check out the other wine shade they have.

The biggest heartache I have with this is the 8 hours claim. It won’t stay for longer than four hours on my oily skin. Now I did not believe it in the first place when I bought it and I expected a regular wear with it. The color is too good to be cribbed about and brings variety to any blush collection.

Last word:
If you can ignore the chalkiness and powdery texture of this blush for the gorgeous doll pink and matte blush, you may like it. Though at Rs 475 I am honestly not recommending it but you may still swatch it at the counter for the unique color that it is. Don’t be fooled by the 8 hours claims please!

  1. I love this blush Neha! But don’t think it would go with my very yellow and very olive skin tone 🙂
I must check out this range though.
