Suave Naturals Daily Clarifying Shampoo Review

Suave Naturals Daily Clarifying Shampoo Review

Hello everyone!

Today’s review will be on a clarifying shampoo from Suave. After seeing so many good reviews on this brand, I wanted to try their products. When I spotted their products some time back, I jumped on my feet and immediately grabbed the chance, although only very few products are available here. I was not really sure about their shampoos but have heard a lot about their clarifying shampoos from my cousin, it is her favorite clarifying shampoo out of all the other drugstore brands, so I did not have any second thoughts. I have tried all the possible clarifying shampoos I have come across and my favorites have been Pantene and L’Oreal Pure Resource shampoos.

My Experience with Suave Naturals Daily Clarifying Shampoo:

The shampoo comes in a transparent big, long and bulky plastic bottle with a flip cap. The bottle is not at all travel friendly mainly because of its large size, but the cap shuts tightly preventing any product leakage. The shampoo inside is clear and light blue tinted, and has medium thick consistency. You get amazing pleasant fragrance as soon as you open the bottle which lingers for an hour after washing the hair.

I have extremely oily scalp with normal hair which is very prone to frizziness. Also, my hair and scalp has a tendency to get used to products very quickly causing hair buildup. I have been using this shampoo once a week from the past four weeks.  This is one of the mildest yet very effective clarifying shampoos I have used so far, it did not cause any hair fall even when I used it for the first time.  It is mentioned that it is gentle enough to be used every day, but because it is a clarifying shampoo, it is best suited to use once or twice a week depending on hair type.

The shampoo lathers pretty well and you do not need to use a lot of quantity, gives a squeaky clean feeling. On oiled hair, I need to wash my hair twice to remove all the oil, but otherwise, it cleanses my hair and scalp pretty well in a single wash. I love the fact that it is pH balanced and does not dry out the scalp or rip off moisture from the hair.  Instead, it leaves hair feeling very smooth, light, bouncy and extremely shiny and hair stays the same way for two days after washing.

As I have frizzy hair, I cannot skip a conditioner after it, but I once skipped the conditioner and was happy to see that it did not cause any tangles in my hair at all which normally happens with other clarifying shampoos. It effectively removes all the hair build up without leaving hair dry and is best suited for normal to oily scalp and hair.  Overall, I would say it is a very decent budget shampoo and was amazed to see it performing so well and I am satisfied with it.

      1. I didn’t mean to scare anyone *shy* just now in todays newspaper saw the list of chemicals to be avoided in shampoos and on the top list were these two.
SLS can cause contact dermatitis and is a potential irritant.
MIT (methylisothiazolinone) is used as a preservative in cosmetics and personal care items like shampoos. It is said to cause harm to neurons in central nervous system.

Again, I don’t mean to discourage anyone or scare people, it’s just that I do not wish to take risk with my hair with these chemicals. 🙂 no offence to anyone.

        1. Thanks for the heads up Shilpa , I am aware about SLS but it is very difficult to find Sls free products and very difficult to avoid it as well. Never knew abt methylisothiazolinone just googled it, seems like it is very commonly added in hair care and skin care products, will skip any shampoos from this brand will have to be careful next time, thanks once again 🙂
