How is weather treating you! We are experiencing sudden mercury rise and fall these days, morning and evening seem running on -3 degrees while noon always rise as high as 25 degrees. Needless to say we all fall prey of sudden temperature fluctuations, as we are down with cold, droopy eyes, body ache, running nose what not! We are surviving on ginger tea & honey while aadya seems inconsolable even after heavy doses of syrups 🙁 Hope so we all recover soon and this weather behaves nicely. Anyways I am also here to share my last but not least favourite suave purchase with all of you. I grabbed this suave rainforest fresh body wash sometime back in summers but always forgot to introduce it here. So here I come with Suave Naturals Rainforest Fresh Body Wash.

Ingredients: Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Ammonium Chloride, Cocamide MEA, Fragrance, Glycerin, PPG-9, Citric Acid, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tocopheryl Acetate, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Bambusa Arundinacea Stem Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Blue 1, Yellow 5.

What Suave Claims about its Product: Infused with bamboo and aloe extracts along with skin conditioning Vitamin E, Suave Naturals® Rainforest Fresh™ showers you in a bright, clean scent that leaves skin fresh and delightfully fragrant. Suave Naturals® Rainforest Fresh™ smells as good as Bath & Body Works®*Compared to Bath & Body Works® White Citrus Shower Gel.

Packaging: This runny translucent blue (read turquoise ) colored body wash comes in as usual plastic bottle packaging with flip top cap. The packaging is available in one bulky size as of now; it might be travel worthy as my mil also carried few of these stuffs to India few months back.

My Experience with Suave Naturals Rainforest Fresh Body Wash:

Let me tell you this is the last suave naturals product I own sincerely. 😛 This product reminds of monsoon! I feel like shivering even by looking at this bottle now a days. It smells slight woody and floral which distinguishes it from other variants especially ocean breeze. I haven’t tried any BBW shower gels hence I cannot tell if these are exact dupes of those BBW mentioned in their website. But they are certainly comparable to any drug store or few high end brands body washes as well. The texture of this body wash is slight runny which makes it ideal for bath sponges/loofah. A tiny most drop makes enough lather to cover whole body.

Aroma is slight woody/floral apt for summers or ideally monsoons, not a gearing fragrance for chilly winters. It clears and rinses off easily leaving no residue behind except soft hydrated skin. It won’t over dry or irritate delicate skin. I remember I hardly used bath lotions while I tried this body wash during last summer. Not to forget it controls body odour as I hardly used any deo and perfumes since using body washes and even before that I never used body fragrances (except few fragrances which were gift.. :P). Now that winters are causing dryness I do use lotions and creams but this body wash is certainly not the reason behind dryness and chapped skin.
Over all a must try product for those who love to indulge in monsoon feel. It will certainly revive memories of famous childhood poem “satpuda k jungle”.

Pros of Suave Naturals Rainforest Fresh Body Wash:

• A gel like hydrating body wash infused with goodness of aloe extract and bamboo extract along with vitamin E
• Cleanse well and easily rinses off leaving behind no residue on skin
• Keeps skin soft and clean for few good hours post shower even if we skip body lotion in hot & humid weather conditions
• Wild floral woody aroma which lingers on for few minutes post shower and is not over powering
• It will not irritate nor accentuate any skin issues, hence ideal for any skin type as it controls body odour irrespective of weather
• Dirt cheap goody with fairest amount of product

Cons of Suave Naturals Rainforest Fresh Body Wash:

• It is only available in 12 fl oz bulky package
• SLS

Well now that we know suave very well, I feel sls and bulky size is the only con deterring all of us from trying it apart from availability in few places. I would say if you ever wish to revive your jungle safari ride or monsoon giggling then do try this fresh rainforest body wash it will bring back those monsoon memories for sure! It is on hold for me since winters are acting so cruel, still I use it sparely whenever mercury raises 25 degree during day time. And it does its job very well.
