I was searching for a good natural pink shade for the festive season and I saw the swatches of Rati Ma’am on this Sugar It’s A-Pout Time! Vivid Lipstick range. I loved the shade Better Call Salmon and quickly picked the lipstick. It is my current obsession. Now, read on to know details about this beautiful shade.

My Experience with Sugar Cosmetics It’s A-Pout Time! Vivid Lipstick 09 Better Call Salmon:

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a beautiful black square tube with the name printed on it. Here, they also provided a pretty graphical outer box that contains some information as well. I love this matte black tube. But all these lipsticks look similar, so they are difficult to identify. Otherwise, the quality of the packaging is so nice and totally travel-friendly as well. Also, it is quite an affordable lipstick with good quality.

Shade: The shade 09 Better Call Salmon is a gorgeous peachy pink shade that is perfect for fair to medium skin tones. It looks so beautiful and I love the natural warm touch in it. It is the prettiest peachy pink that I have ever tried. The true salmon pink it actually called. Under the daylight, it looks more of pinky and under room light, it looks more peachy. It goes with all types of makeup, even it can brighten up your no makeup bare skin, and it’s a perfect daily wear shade as well. It’s a beautiful MLBB shade for my medium skin tone. But it might washout deeper skin tones.

Now, the shade is much pigmented as well which requires only two swipes to get the perfect colour pay off. It occupies my lips so well and can hide pigmented lips perfectly.

Texture and Quality: The lipstick has a nice smooth texture that glides evenly on lips. It feels very light and comfortable as well. I really like this formula. It doesn’t feel patchy and never highlights dry patches either. Mostly, I love its texture that is a perfect non-drying velvety matte. The matte finish looks beautiful. It also provides decent hydration to lips which keeps them soft. It has a mild smell like their previous range which doesn’t bother me.

Now, it does transfer slightly but as it is quite minimal, so the colour still remains on lips and doesn’t look faded. Otherwise, it doesn’t smudge or never settles into the fine lines or creases at all. It is one of the best formulated matte lipsticks available in India.

Staying Power: As a good matte lipstick, it stays around 6-7 hours nicely and can survive normal lunch decently. But after having a heavy meal, it slightly looks faded and needs a touchup. Reapplication is also quite easy, so I never mind to reapply it; it never looks patchy with layers. Hence, it is easy to remove with a wipe without any stain behind it.

Overall: I am totally obsessed with this shade and somehow, this is the shade which I wanted to try since long. If you want a beautiful natural peachy pink shade, then definitely buy this lipstick. In the first image, I haven’t applied any base face mask, so my face looked quite flat but the shade instantly provided that freshness to it and in the second image, I did a natural makeup with a pretty winged eye. Here, at night, the shade looks more natural peachy and a perfect MLBB shade as well.
