My Experience with Sugar Cosmetics It’s A-Pout Time! Vivid Lipstick – 11 Six Feet Umber:
Packaging: Lipstick comes in a beautiful black square tube with the name printed over it. They also provide a pretty graphical outer box that contains some information as well. I love this matte black tube. But, all these lipsticks look similar, so they are difficult to identify easily. Otherwise, the quality of the packaging is so nice and travel-friendly as well. Also, it is quite an affordable lipstick with good quality.
Shade: This is beautiful cool toned chocolate brown shade that suits for all skin tones. But, best suited on medium to dark skin tone and it looks quite natural on my medium complexion. It is actually a mature brown shade; maybe teenagers would not prefer such shades a lot. But, I love browns always. Such daily wear shade looks very stubble with light to bold makeup. Now, the shade is much pigmented which requires only two swipes to get the perfect color pay off. It occupies my lips so well and can hide pigmented lips perfectly.
Texture and Quality: Lipstick has nice smooth texture that glides evenly on lips. It feels very light and comfortable as well. I really like this formula. It doesn’t feel patchy and never highlights dry patches as well. Mostly, I love its texture which is a perfect non-drying matte. The matte finish looks beautiful. It also provides decent hydration to the lips, which keeps it soft for long. It has a mild smell like their previous range, which doesn’t bother to me. It does transfer slightly but, the color still remains on lips and doesn’t look fade. Otherwise, it doesn’t smudge or never settle in the fine lines or crease at all.
Staying Power: As a good matte lipstick, it stays around 6-7 hours nicely and can survive normal lunch decently. But after having a heavy meal, it looks faded and need a touchup. Reapplication is also quite easy, so I never mind to reapply it. It never looks patchy with layers. Hence, it is easy to remove without any stain behind it.
Overall: I am totally obsessed with this matte range and it is a beautiful brown lipstick that also has nice long lasting matte formula.
