My Experience with Sugar Cosmetics Kohl of Honour Intense Kajal 01 Black Out:

Packaging: Sugar Cosmetics has never compromised on its packaging. Staying true to its aesthetics, this kohl/kajal comes in a fun cardboard box with a graffiti of a girl’s face. The box contains details like name, shade, ingredients and manufacturing info. The retractable kajal pencil is sleek and lightweight, matte black in color and shuts tightly, totally travel friendly.

Color: The color is a dark matte black shade. This is definitely not the darkest kohl, I have used completely jet black kohls earlier. This is a dark black, which needs a couple of swipes to show up with full intensity.

Texture: The texture is moderately creamy. It’s not hard and gritty, neither it is as smooth and creamy, like gel pencils from Maybelline, Chambor or such. However, I definitely like the texture of Lakme Eyeconic Kajal more than this, which is slightly easier to glide on eyes. This kohl sets quite quickly, and doesn’t really budge post that.

Staying Power: It has good staying power. In ideal conditions, it lasts easily for 8-9 hours. I have oily and slightly hooded eyelids and face problems like transferring and spreading of liners and kohls, so most liners get messed up in an hour or so. This fared comparatively better and stayed put for 3 hours or so. With an eye primer and loose powder, it’s easy to wear it even on oily lids.

On my waterline, it lasts close to 3 hours. In fact, it even survived swimming session, without badly smearing, which is awesome. It is water resistant and smudge-proof and will smear only if you rub a lot on oily lids or when you are extremely sweaty. Just sweat or oils won’t completely destroy your eye makeup.

Water-based removers won’t be able to remove it completely, so bi-phased or oil=based removers should be your go-to option to take down this kajal. This kajal will suit sensitive eyes too since I didn’t notice any redness or irritation while using this for tightlining or on my waterline.
