My Experience with Sugar Cosmetics Never Say Dry Creme Lipstick 04 Revolutionary Rose:
Packaging:
This lipstick comes in a beautiful black tube with the name printed on it. I love this matte black tube but it looks just like the packaging of their previous range. I mean, they could have tried something new since this is a new range. All these lipsticks look similar, so you cannot really differentiate the shades. Otherwise, the quality is nice and totally travel-friendly. Also, it is quite an affordable, good quality lipstick.
Shade:
They offer 5 beautiful shades in this range and I like the shade selection. This shade is called Revolutionary Rose and is one of the most beautiful shades in this range. It is a gorgeous rosy pink colour with a hint of muted brown. It’s neither too bright nor too pink.
It has a unique tone which makes it a gorgeous shade for all skin tones. Such pinks are perfect for all occasions. I mean, you can pair this shade with everyday as well as party makeup looks. The shade is super pigmented and requires only one-two swipes to get the perfect colour payoff. It occupies my lips well and can hide pigmentation perfectly.
Texture and Quality:
As the name suggests, this is a creamy lipstick. Hence, it has a super soft, smooth and creamy texture that glides effortlessly and evenly. It feels very light and comfortable on my lips. I really like this formula. It is not heavy or greasy like other creme lipsticks. It has the perfectly balanced formula with a slight sheen to it.
It is actually a super moisturizing lipstick that provides a boost of nourishment to the lips. It provides a great relief to dry lips and can hide chapped, rough texture as well. It sets to a flawless smooth and creamy texture that keeps lips soft throughout the day. Hence, the formula doesn’t feel patchy. It has a mild smell, just like their previous range.
Due to its creamy formula it does transfer a lot, which is a pretty common issue with creamy lipsticks. But since the shade is super pigmented the colour still remains on the lips and doesn’t fade too much. Otherwise, it doesn’t smudge on its own or never settle into the fine lines; it doesn’t crease either. I am not a fan of cream lipsticks but this one has made in fall in with. I just love the formula of this lipstick.
Staying Power:
It stays around 5-6 hours nicely without any meal; but after having a full meal, it looks faded and needs to be reapplied. With normal snacks or coffee, it lasts quite well. Reapplication is also quite easy, so I never really mind applying it again. It never looks patchy, even with layers. It is quite easy to remove as well. Just remove it with a wipe and it won’t leave any stain.
Overall:
I am totally obsessed with this shade. If you wish to try a unique pink shade, then definitely try this one. I am sure you will love it.
