My Experience with Sugar Cosmetics Suede Secret Matte Lipcolour 06 Taffeta Terracotta:

Packaging:
The lipstick comes in a beautiful graphical box and the actual lip product comes in a lovely semi-clear matte tube with a black cap. I really like this sleek packaging. It has a nice applicator wand that works perfectly to define my lips.

Shade:
I love the shade Taffeta Terracotta on my skin tone. It’s a beautiful terracotta brown shade with a warm undertone or you can call it a rusty brown color. This is such a versatile shade for all skin tones, and is perfect for winters too. I love the way it looks on my complexion and it goes well with every makeup look. It is a super pigmented shade that needs only one to two swipes for good color payoff on the lips. It can completely hide lip pigmentation too.

Texture and Quality:
This is a great formula with a full matte finish. It has a medium-thick, mousse-like soft texture that glides smoothly on the lips without any tugging. It doesn’t create any problem during application and works easily on the lips. It never looks patchy and never feels sticky. But it takes a good amount of time to dry out completely. It almost takes 2-3 minutes and until then you can’t touch it, otherwise, it transfers.

So initially, it transfers and then it sets to a beautiful full matte finish. It doesn’t transfer or smudge after that. Still, if I rub my fingers on the lips a bit of the product comes off. Otherwise, it performs well, and most importantly, it provides a good amount of hydration to the lips. It is definitely a non-drying matte lipstick. It feels soft and comfortable. Also, the formula is pretty lightweight.

Staying Power:
This lipstick lasts around 5-6 hours with normal coffee or snacks but it can’t survive a heavy meal. It starts to look faded from the centre after having an oily meal and then I need to reapply it. Therefore, I can’t call it a long-lasting lipstick. It can be easily removed with a makeup wipe.

Overall:
The formula as well as the quality are good enough and Taffeta Terracotta is such a unique brown shade for all skin tones. Since I prefer long-lasting lip products I wish it has a better staying power.
