My Experience with Sugar Matte As Hell Crayon Lipstick 14 Violet Crawley:
Packaging: The crayon comes in a basic sleek cardboard packaging with a mosaic design. It has the name of the brand and the shade name written over it. The crayon is sleek with the brand and shade name printed over it. The bottom of the crayon is color coded, hence you can easily find the desired shade in your stash. The lip crayon comes along with a sharpener, which is specially designed for these crayons.
Shade/Texture/Pigmentation: I got the shade “Violet Crawley,” which is described as a smokey violet shade. I would say that the name is apt. This is a unique violet color and will be a stunning choice if you love slightly different shades. For someone who has a thing for purples/violets, this true violet shade will be a love at first sight. This lipstick crayon is very soft and creamy. A perfect texture for a crayon, which glides easily onto lips without tugging or stretching. The best thing is that it sets to a beautiful matte color on the lips. You can also blot the color with a tissue if the violet is too striking for you. This crayon is greatly pigmented. Only one swipe will give you full coverage. Bang on pigmentation as you may call it.
Staying Power: It stays on for good 5-6 hours on my lips without smudging or transferring. It breaks down slightly with oily food, especially from the centre of lips.
This shade slightly stains lips, but it leaves a nice violet tint on lips which looks good. I am definitely impressed by the formulation. Colors, packaging, texture, staying- you have wowed us again and again. Additional brownie points for the thoughtful addition of sharpener designed for this. Though I don’t see myself reaching out for it very often (I am biased to reds and neutrals), this is a great shade to own.
