Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner Review

I love the refreshing feel that toners give to the skin and honestly that is one skin care element I buy the most as I use them up super fast. I wanted to try new brands from my trip abroad and thus I picked up the Sukin toner. Sukin is a big name in Australia and their products are moderately priced, yet effective as per the research I did. Read on to know how it fared for me:

My Experience with Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner:

The packaging is kind of boring if I may say so, as the bottle is plain dark brown plastic with the sticker on it. All Sukin products are packed in similar-looking bottles. The spray is functional as you can use it both ways; to directly spray on face or spray on a cotton pad first. The spray nozzle is protected with a transparent cap.

The toner is a transparent liquid which has a very distinct rose smell. And the good thing is that the smell is light, but lingers for a while. In addition to the refreshing feel, the lovely rosy smell is rejuvenating as well. I have used it both as a toner on a cotton pad and as a face mist and it works equally well both ways.

When applied on a cotton pad, there is a bit of product wastage as the spray nozzle tends to give a wider spritz, so I prefer to spray this directly all over the face. I have tried this over makeup and it works very much like Mac Fix+ taking away the powdery feel and adding the hint of moisture and dewy look to makeup. Also, it provides the required freshness to the face on hot humid days.

You cannot skip the moisturizer after this, but that is fine as the toner is not supposed to moisturize the skin. Also worth mentioning is that it does not strip off the oil completely from the face, leaving it dry and dehydrated. More than using it as a normal every day toner, I am keeping this bottle in my handbag to get the refreshed feeling on-the-go. On small trips, this doubles up as a toner, which is again a win win.
