Summer Bright Orange-Blue Green EyeMakeup Tutorial

Hello ladies!

Summer Bright Orange Blue Green EyeMakeup Tutorial 01
So how is the summer treating you all?! I’m all kinds of irritated & fed up with it but alas it’s here for some more time! All we can do is try to make the best of it. The one & perhaps the only thing good about summer (other than mangoes *slurp*) has to be the use of bright colors in fashion & beauty world! It’s the perfect time to pull out our brights & experiment with them. For this look I chose orange, it is not an easy color to pull off but when used correctly & paired well with complimentary colors, it suits everyone I believe. If feeling bolder, you can even substitute the orange with yellow or if you want this look to be slightly more subtle then going for brown instead of blue will just simmer the whole look down but still look very summery. So let’s get down to this look’s details.

For creating the colored liner I used this ELF Studio Eye Primer & Line Sealer. Having this makes the process very convenient but a simple liner brush dipped in a mixing medium or good old plain water & then dipped into the color can also work equally. If using water, it can take multiple applications of the liner to make the color show up as opaquely you may wish. Baby oil is my other go-to for this technique. But when using oil, one has to make sure that only very tiny amount of oil is used & after creating a line, pat over it with dry powder to make sure the oily liner is set.

Step 1: As most times, I started with some concealer over my eyelid & then patted some compact powder over it. This acts as a good base, not only neutralising the lid but also acting as a primer.

Step 2: Taking a light orange from the 120 palette I then applied it over the entire upper lid.
Step 3: Next, I took a very dark, brighter orange than the one in previous step & applied over the outer “V” of the eye. Blend the colors as desired.

Step 4: I then applied green pencil on my lower water line.

Step 5: I smudged the green pencil color beyond the lower lash line with some green from the 120 palette.

Step 6: Taking the liner from the ELF Primer & Line Sealer, I dipped it into a dark blue from the 120 palette & applied a liner on the upper lash liner, winging it out slightly.
Step 7: Next was mascara. If you want you can even tight line the upper lashes with some black kajal as the gaps between the lashes can be very obvious.
Step 8: I then applied a light, a few shades lighter than my skin tone & brighter, color as a brow bone highlight.
Step 9: At last, I cleaned up around my eye with concealer and face powder. And that’s the look done!
