I am back from my trip and needless to say, we enjoyed a lot! This trip was dedicated to celebrating the anniversaries. 😉 It was our anniversary, V-day and our friends’ (who accompanied us) anniversary too – all packed back to back. 😀 The destination we chose was Miami and this destination made our holiday even more special because I looooove beaches. And one thing that was most important to pack (apart from gifts that I secretly packed for my hubby) was sunscreen. I loved Sun Bum Broad Spectrum SPF 70 Premium Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion and wanted to buy the same, but sadly, it was not available in stores and I did not have time to order it online. 🙁 So I picked the SPF 50 variant instead.

My Experience with Sun Bum Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Premium Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion:
The sunscreen comes in a yellow-brown tube which has a flip-top cap and the cute monkey motif on the tube. The cap closes shut, but still the tube is pretty huge to travel with. I really dislike the fact that none of products from this range come in travel-sized versions. I transferred the contents into a travel size bottle to take along on my trip.
The sunscreen is white in color and it’s not very thick in consistency. The consistency is not runny either and feels like a thick lotion. In fact, it does feel like a lotion packed in a tube. It is very easy to spread and gets absorbed easily into the skin. I have very dry skin, but I do not feel the need to use any moisturizer when using this. It takes care of my dry skin’s needs, except for my feet. My hubby has normal skin and he too is comfortable using the product.
The sunscreen is not greasy at all and also does not leave any white layer on the skin. It photographs well too and I did not see any whitish cast in the pictures. It did not clog my pores and did not break me out.
The sunscreen smells amazingly delicious of coconuts. Though I am not a fan of coconut fragrance, but still, I like this one. It is not too pungent and fades away in some time. But yes, it is perfect for the beaches and just the application would turn on the beach mode. 😉
Coming to the sun protection factor, I am satisfied with the product. I wore this sunscreen for the whole day on the beach, while playing in water and during water sports. On the day we went for water sports, we stayed out in the sun for around 8 hours and in the water for around 6 hours. I tried my best to reapply the sunscreen religiously but there were times when I was not able to do so. Normally, I tan like nobody’s business, but this time it was a lot less. It protected me well from sunburn as well.
