I am a huge fan of the Sunday Riley skin care and a while back decided to pick up a cleanser from this brand after reading amazing claims about it. This review will be on the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser.
What it is formulated to do:
This cleanser purifies the skin, tightens pores, and supports natural collagen and circulation with natural essential oils to tone and balance the skin. It detoxifies, minimizes pore size, and helps you achieve a flawless, “ceramic-smooth” complexion. It is formulated without sulfates, phthalates.
What else you need to know:
Flashfacial: five minutes, two products, one dramatic result. Lactic acid plus green clay DIY mask to reveal flawless, glowing, radiant skin—in a flash. Mix three pumps of Good Genes with two pumps of Ceramic Slip, leave on for five to 10 minutes, and rinse off.
$45 but I got it during sale for $30
My Experience with Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser:
Packaging: This cleanser comes in a simple and sturdy plastic bottle. It has a pump dispenser with a locking mechanism which is great if you want to take it while traveling. The product dispenses in small squirts and 2 pumps is usually what I use to wash my skin and 3-4 pumps if I use it as a mask.
Texture: This is a gel-based cleanser. It is neither too thick nor too watery. When using this to wash my face, I apply this on damp skin and massage it in, adding small amounts of water to create a milky lather. It does not foam up too much, but it still effectively cleanses your skin.
This cleanser is not an effective makeup remover. I usually use this as a second step cleanser after wiping off my makeup with makeup remover wipes. This cleanser rinses off without any residue and leaves a smooth “ceramic” like feel on my skin. My skin has never felt this smooth and silky immediately with any other cleanser that I have used. I do have normal to dry skin and this cleanser did not make my skin feel tight or stretchy post washing. My skin feels very supple and moisturized without any greasy oily film on my skin. It helped balance out my skin by leaving it not overly dry while reducing oiliness on certain parts of my face (like my chin area which is prone to being oily and is the prime spot for clogged pores and breakouts).
I also noticed that my pores looked visibly smaller immediately after using this. I do not have an issue of large problematic pores to begin with, but still the difference was visible. It helped to a certain extent by making my skin look and feel toned, but it is not very effective in getting rid of blackheads and whiteheads. It does make my skin look radiant and bright.
As per recommendation by the brand, I do use it in combination with Good Genes treatment as a mask/quick facial and love it. On its own, the Good Genes treatment feels really irritating on my skin with its strong tingling sensation and with continuous use, it does dry out my skin, but when paired with this cleanser, the results are outstanding.
There is no irritating sensation on my skin, my skin does not feel dried out and in 15 minutes my skin looks glowing.
Fragrance: This cleanser has a strong herbal scent. I am not a huge fan or this scent and it does feel overpowering as I washing my face. For those with sensitive noses this may be a deal breaker.
Overall, I am really happy with this cleanser’s performance and will recommend it.
