We love sunscreens and hate the white casts that they leave on the skin. It looks even worse when you apply makeup on it. So, today, I will tell you about the sunscreens that won’t leave a white cast. They are amazing for sun protection and won’t damage your skin. You can easily use these products as makeup bases. You may not use these regularly as they are a little expensive compared to your regular sunscreens. A little white shadow won’t hurt either but if you are planning to put your makeup on and pose for photos in the daytime, pick one from this list and you won’t be disappointed.
1. Lotus Professional PHYTORx Ultra-Protect Sunblock SPF 70 PA+++:
Lotus undoubtedly makes the best sunscreens in India and this one is the best from the brand. It comes with an SPF 70 and also protects against UVA. The texture is super smooth and spreads well on clean skin. Since it is tinted, I apply it in dots and blend it. It gives a clean look and there is no white cast on the face. It also keeps the face hydrated and prevents sunburns and tans.

Spray sunscreens are best for your holidays and this one is worth trying. It protects against both UVA and UVB and is great for beach holidays too. It sets very fast and puts a translucent layer of protection on your skin. It never turns white or ashy and you can easily put your makeup on it.

This is great for both oily and dry skinned people. This prevents any form of sunburn or tan. It gets absorbed very quickly and never leaves a white cast. Also, it is 100% waterproof!

It does not leave any whitish cast behind. It goes on white on the skin but within 10-15 seconds, the sunscreen gets absorbed and your skin is ready for the makeup.

This product is for those who are sensitive to chemical sunscreens and do not like the zinc oxide layer that physical sunscreens leave on the skin. This is a super moisturizing sunscreen for extremely dry skin. This sunscreen can feel a bit heavy. It does not get absorbed quickly or sinks in completely, even on my normal-dry skin and leaves a dewy finish. But that issue is easy to deal with by setting it with powder on top, every time after using. It leaves a white cast initially which goes away if you blend this well. But it won’t work in flash photography.
6. Neutrogena Age Shield Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF70:
This adds a lot of moisture to the skin along with sun protection without making the face sweaty and greasy. It goes great under your makeup as it gets absorbed easily like a gel. It stays for really long as it is completely waterproof and sweat-proof. If you apply this once, you won’t have to worry about it for the rest of the day.
7. Avene Eau Thermale Very High Protection Emulsion SPF 50+:
The emulsion spreads on to skin very easily. After proper blending, it sinks into the skin completely, without leaving any whitish or ashy cast on the face. It is not a mattifying product but neither it is oily nor greasy. The product gives an almost dewy finish, but will not clog pores or cause breakouts. It is free of harmful chemicals and is absolutely photo-stable.
8. MAC Prep + Prime Face Protect Protection Visage SPF 50:
This is a primer with SPF 50 which makes it a two-in-one product for your gala day-events! This is absolutely non-greasy and gets absorbed completely without leaving any residue. It also hydrates the face, so you can skip your moisturizer. It allows the makeup to stay matte for really long.
9. Clinique Sun SPF 50 Face Cream:
This non-oily cream gets absorbed easily and keeps the face matte for long. SPF 50 works great in harsh sunlight. You can also opt for the SPF 30 product from the same range if you want a little less protection (who would do that by the way?). It leaves no white cast and does not alter either. It is absolutely sweat-proof and waterproof!

The product has a water-like consistency, which is easy to blend into the skin. It is extremely lightweight on the skin and has a non-greasy, non-oily texture. It does not leave any residue and the face feels hydrated and soft for the whole day. It never clogs pores and is safe for sensitive skin too.
11. Clarins UV Plus HP SPF 40 Day Screen:
It has a thin, runny consistency, very fluid, very light, and spreads easily on the skin. It dries quickly; there’s no waiting time for it to ‘set’ before proceeding to apply my makeup. The finish of it is matte and it feels like ‘nothing’ on the skin. It has a mild floral scent which is amazing. If you want it to replace your BB cream, a tinted variant is also available.

The sunscreen is a white-colored cream which thankfully does not leave any white cast on the face. The consistency of the cream is between a thick cream and lotion. It is not greasy by any means but is sure hydrating. It absorbs into the skin really well and can be easily worn under makeup as it does not let the face sweat like a pig! It keeps rashes and sunburns away even on extremely hot days and you will have a hydrated, healthy skin throughout the day.

This product is a gel-silicone based product. This product treats, blurs and protects skin which makes it a primer as well as a sunscreen. The finish this product leaves on the skin is velvety matte.
