Sunsilk Co-Creations Shine and Strength Hair Cream Review

By Dhivya Stephen

Hello everyone,

Today, I will be reviewing a hair cream that I bought from Kuwait.  I have oily hair which is wavy and pretty soft in texture; however, I suffer from split ends.  Hence, I always look for hair products that claim to reduce split ends and provide strength to the hair. This product doesn’t claim to reduce split ends, but it does claim to make hair strong and shiny.

Sunsilk Co-Creations Shine and Strength Hair Cream

Product Description:

Sunsilk Shine and Strength Hair Cream for normal hair, moisturises your hair and gives it the extra shine you want.

Directions For Use:

Before shampooing, massage onto dry hair from root to tip. Leave for 15 minutes or longer as desired. Wash hair as usual. After shampooing, apply small amounts to damp hair. This will help to style and add shine to your hair. For best results, use together with Sunsilk Shine and Strength Shampoo and Nourishing Conditioner.

Ingredients:

Water, Mineral Oil, Stearyl Alcohol, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Ceteareth-6, Trideceth-12, Perfume, Methylparaben, DMDM Hydantoin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Propylparaben, Lawsonia Inermis(Henna) Extract, Polyperfluromethylisopropyl Ether, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Alpha-Isomethyl Iononene, Geraniol.

My Experience with Sunsilk Co-Creations Shine and Strength Hair Cream:

This hair cream comes in a tub packaging which is unhygienic. The pink colour of the tub is so attractive and one of the reasons I picked up this product 😛 . It contains a thick white opaque cream and smells so very floral and pleasant.  I applied this to my hair as instructed and washed it off with the Sunsilk Shine and Strength Shampoo.

I never apply conditioner to my hair after shampooing because it weighs down my hair and creates more oil *big frown*. After drying my hair, I found it to be smooth, soft and tangle free. My hair smelled like I had undergone hair spa and smelled so heavenly after the wash, it lasted for a day.  I used this for a month and noticed less hair fall.

Only a small amount is required for the entire hair (my hair is arm length long) and I use this once a week.  The only problem is that when I used this after shampooing in small amounts on my damp hair, the hair felt greasy and weighed down, so I avoid that step.

Pros of Sunsilk Co-Creations Shine and Strength Hair Cream:

  • Pleasant floral smell.
  • Cute pink packaging.
  • Very cheap.
  • Leaves hair soft, shinier and healthier.
  • Reduces hair fall.

Cons of Sunsilk Co-Creations Shine and Strength Hair Cream:

  • Tub packaging hence unhygienic.
  • Availability in India is a problem.
  • If you use excess amount of the product, then you might be left with greasy and weighed down hair.
  • Not apt for very oily hair because this product can grease your hair the next day, but I wash my hair everyday, so it’s not a problem for me.

I cannot think of any other con because this product stood up to its claims and even reduced my hair fall which wasn’t in the claims  *happy dance*

Would I Repurchase Sunsilk Co-Creations Shine and Strength Hair Cream?

Yes, definitely! It has reduced my hair fall to a great extent.

IMBB Rating:

4/5 (-0.5 for tub packaging and -0.5 for availability).
