How the festive season preparations going on? Here in London, we had amazing Diwali celebration on the square. Sometimes, I feel that London is the 29th state of India *happy dance*. Anyway, coming to today’s review – it is a cleanser and toner from Superdrug from their tea tree oil series.
GBP 3.99 for 200 ml.
How To Use:
Moisten cotton wool and gently clean your face and neck. Repeat with fresh cotton wool until no traces of dirt remains. Use regularly in the morning and evening.
The light non-greasy 2-in-1 cleanser and toner with natural tea tree and peppermint oils removes dirt, makeup and other skin impurities, helping to promote a clearer spot free complexion felling soft and fresh.
My Experience with Superdrug Tea Tree Cleanser and Toner:
The 2 in 1 cleanser and toner comes in a see-through plastic bottle with flip open cap lock mechanism. The product is like water with a tint of green colour in it. The smell is very minty and refreshing. The toner is water based with natural ingredients like aloe vera, tea tree and peppermint oil. Now to begin, I have medium dry skin and thus I am choosy about toners. The best toner after rose water for me is The Body Shop toner. I have always maintained that I am a huge fan of Superdrug products.
I have already tried face washes from this new tea tree series, thus I didn’t think much and picked this up. Okay, I am using this for 1 week now and I am not much impressed with it. It fails completely as a toner. As a toner, it is not much worthy, it does nothing that a good toner should do. I have used it as a makeup remover and this pleases me more that way. It removes traces of make up very well and leaves skin clean and fresh. The presence of peppermint oil gives that amazing refreshing minty touch which is like cherry on the cake.
Basically, it is more like a makeup remover; right from its consistency to its job, all proves that it is a makeup remover cum cleanser. The after effects are okay; the minty touch remains for some time and then fades away. It does not leave skin super dry but I being a dry skin person had an urge to apply cream immediately.
Pros of Superdrug Tea Tree Cleanser and Toner:
- Loaded with goodness of tea tree and aloe vera.
- Peppermint oil makes the skin refreshing.
- Good as a makeup cleanser.
- Will be very good for oily skin.
- Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
- Not tested on animals.
Cons of Superdrug Tea Tree Cleanser and Toner:
- A complete flop as a toner.
- Not very good for dry skin.
- Available only in Superdrug store and their website.
- Can get better toners and cleansers in this price range.
Do I Recommend Superdrug Tea Tree Cleanser and Toner?
Oily skin girls must give this a shot. Not for one who have super dry skin or those who are not a fan of peppermint oil.
Will I Repurchase Superdrug Tea Tree Cleanser and Toner?
No, not at all.
