Superdrug Vitamin E All Over Body Butter

Superdrug Vitamin E All Over Body Butter

As many of you must be aware, Superdrug is one of UK’s largest health and beauty retailers. You walk into any big mall in UK and you are sure to find a Superdrug outlet there. After all they have more 900 outlets in the country.
Last weekend while out shopping, we strolled past the beauty stores and as is my habit, I could not resist taking a quick look. First we headed to the Superdrug store and to the skin care section. More than make up, I am inclined towards skin care products and love trying out new stuff.
My regular Cocoa Butter body lotion was nearing an end, so I thought of picking up a body lotion. I picked up the Superdrug Vitamin E – All Over Body Butter.

My Experience with Superdrug Vitamin E All Over Body ButterThough not for 12 hours, the body butter does leave my skin moisturised for a good 6-7 hours. The texture is silky smooth and it gets absorbed very easily by the skin. It does not leave any sticky or shiny feeling. It is smooth like satin. And the fragrance is just beautiful. Normally cocoa butter has a strong smell. But this one is so mild and delicate and has a lovely flowery smell. I am just not able to get the right description but – it is very pleasant – that sort of sums it up. And I loved the packaging too. The tub is a light mauvish pastel colour and it instantly brings to mind soft smooth satin. It is just my interpretation – colours and texture of any product are a major deciding factor for me 🙂

Cons of Superdrug Vitamin E – All Over Body Butter:

1. Contains parabens – when I saw the ingredients list – there were so many kinds of parabens listed – methylparaben, ethylparaben, butylparaben, propylparaben and isobutyl paraben
Final Verdict – even though it has a long list of parabens in the ingredients, I feel its benefits are too good to be ignored.

    1. Hey Taps,

you might get it in some online chemists shop who ship worldwide…but then there will be a shipping charge too…so if you are buying lots of things, it might work out cheaper.

  2. Hi Dee,
I have used many superdrug products,My aunt in UK , she brings a lots of superdrug stuffs, she says most of them are alcohol free. I have a hit and miss experience with these products,( though i have have never used their body butters). Their sun lotion was definitely a miss :pissedoff: and baby lotion and ant insect spray ( i don’t remember the name now) was hit. Since she is coming next month, i will ask her to buy this one also :yahoo: . (may be she already had  ). Nice Review.

    1. Hi Visakhi,
Yes…you can ask your aunt to get this one…I have tried just a few Superdrug items…havent tried the ones that you have mentioned…so no idea. But overall I have had good experience with their products.

        1. Hi Visakhi,

I can suggest two products that I have heard good feedback for (from my friends) …

          1. Superdrug Vitamin E Radiance Cream and
          2. Superdrug Vitamin E Face Scrub

Both are from the same range as the body butter (Vitamin E rich)

Apart from these, there is another brand I would recommend you to try – (again its based on my personal preferences – you may or may ot like them)

The brand is Radox and the product is there new range od shower smoothies. its soooo indulgent and luxurious. there are different options to choose from – blackcurrant and cranberry, coconut and almonds, yoghurt and pomegranate, yoghurt and honey and lemongrass – ginseng.

            1. I have combination skin on face and dry to normal skin otherwise…the Vitamin E range works good for me…so i think it will for your dry hands too..
The shower smoothies will go well with all skin types i feel.

  3. my friend was in love with these products. she used to always ask relatives to get this for her!!! this reminds me i’v to call her 😉
    nice one Dee

  4. dee if ever you are coming to India, I am so going to ask you to pick up products for me. 😀 I also have dry skin and it really feels good that you have discovered all these gems for yourself. :))

    1. hey rati, sure.
have already visited india twice this year…so next trip will probably be next year…will let you know when i plan to come…
back in india i used to search for good products for dry skin – not much to choose from though..
here – lot of people have dry skin – so the number of products to choose from is also huge…every other day something new is launched
