Superdrug White Chocolate Mousse Mask Review

I am back with review of another face mask from Superdrug. I am in love with sachet masks these days. Sachets masks are easy to carry along while travelling and a quick way to pamper the skin while you are on a trip. This particular face mask caught my attention with its name white chocolate mousse. As we all know the beauty benefits of chocolate, I thought it would be a nice change to try a white chocolate mask.

Let’s see what this particular mask did for my skin. So, today I am reviewing Super drug White Chocolate Mousse Mask.

Product Description: Sweet and light, this Super drug white chocolate mousse mask is the ultimate chocolate indulgence for the senses. Enriched with a sumptuous blend of Cocoa butter, Almond oil and Shea to feed your skin and leave it feeling soft and smooth. Natural clay also helps to draw out impurities and soak up excess oil to reveal a more radiant complexion.

Price: £1 for 15 ml.

My experience with Superdrug White Chocolate Mousse Mask:

The Superdrug white chocolate mousse mask comes in a sachet pack. This mask is off white in colour with creamy texture. It doesn’t have chocolate fragrance which is really weird. The smell reminds me of The Body Shop Shea body butter. When you buy a “white chocolate mask” you expect it to smell something like white chocolate. The smell is more like a cheap combination of chemicals .I didn’t like the smell at all. Anyways, I have opened it so I held my breath and started applying it on my face.

The mask is thick in consistency. It spreads easily over the skin. There was mild tingling sensation on my skin when I applied it but it stopped after a few seconds. I let it dry for 10-15 minutes and wash off with normal water. The weird smell stays for few minutes even after washing off. My skin was feeling soft and clean. I could feel that it does soak up oil and dirt from my face. At least there was something good about this mask. There was no glow or tightness on face. It is an average mask which one can skip. It shouldn’t be named white chocolate mousse mask. There was no property of chocolate mask in this mask. I was disappointed by this one. My dream to indulge in a chocolate fantasy turned out to be strange smelling punishment.

I was supposed to give it to my mother but Thank God I didn’t. God knows it would have suited her or not and she would always tease me for the strange smell if she used it!

The previous Superdrug masks I have tried have been wonderful. I will probably buy Superdrug masks in the future, but definitely not this one.

• Doesn’t dry out the skin.

Cons of Superdrug White Chocolate Mousse Mask:

• Availability in India.
• Smell is weird.
• Not for sensitive skin.
• Doesn’t add any glow to skin.

Will I repurchase / recommend Superdrug White Chocolate Mousse Mask?
No, I am not impressed by this mask .I am not that sensitive to different fragrances but I simply can’t bear this smell. I will definitely try other masks from Superdrug but not this one.
