Hello Lovely ladies,
Summer is upon us with all its fury! The colorful warm sunny days are a relief after the harsh winters, but the unforgiving summer sun can damage our delicate skin. If you hear people telling you that SPF15 is enough for the skin, they are probably right. Actually, in foreign countries, where the sunlight is not as harsh, an SPF of 15 is enough. However this is not the case for relentless Indian summer. You MUST use an SPF of 30 or above to adequately protect your skin, especially if you plan to stay put outdoors for long.Read on to see how this serum from Supergoop has worked for me.
$20 for 20 ml / $42 for 50 ml
Day-to-day sun exposure requires the same precautions as an afternoon spent poolside. Anti-aging City Sunscreen Serum SPF 30, a super lightweight serum, fulfills that everyday need. Both a moisturizer and a broad-spectrum SPF 30, it fights the signs of premature aging and protects against future UV damage. Built for year-round use, it’s a great primer for the rest of your daily beauty regimen.
What Makes This Goop Super:
• Vitamins E and B5 aid nutrient absorption and cell renewal, reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles
• Hydration 24 stimulates the skin’s natural moisturizing agent so skin stays hydrated without the need of a heavy cream
• Uniprotect PT-3 stimulates the skin’s antioxidant pathways and natural enzymatic repair system
In a 4 week clinical study:
• 88% measured a significant increase in long-term skin hydration
• 96% “my skin looks healthier”
• 96% “I am surprised a product that feels so nice on the skin actually has high SPF broad spectrum protection built in”
Who Is This Ideal for:
This lightweight serum is perfect for all skin types
My Experience with Supergoop City Sunscreen Serum SPF 30:
This handy little serum comes in a very sturdy pump packaging. Very suitable for travel purposes, especially to pop into your bag, so that you can reapply throughout the day.
The fact that it is called a serum is a misnomer. It looks feels and behaves like a lightweight lotion. When pumped, the product comes in measured quantities and does not flow out. This helps regulate the amount of product that you actually need. It is especially goof for those people who tend to go overboard with the products (like me:P).
The serum is a really light weight lotion that absorbs instantly. It does not leave behind any greasy residue and no white cast. That’s why I feel it is a perfect sun screen to carry around and reapply throughout the day. It did not break me out and protected me from harsh tanning. I feel that this serum is pricey. Why I say this is that, it is a glorified sunscreen. It does not have that many antioxidants to do much extra for your skin. It does not irritate skin and does its job well. Still, it will not act that extra dewy glow or oomph on your skin.
Pros of the Supergoop City Sunscreen Serum SPF 30:
• Lightweight no greasy lotion
• Does not leave white cast
• Does its job of a sunscreen
• Hygienic Pump packaging
Cons of the Supergoop City Sunscreen Serum SPF 30:
• Does not do anything extra for skin.
I feel this is an average product. If you have another better serum that suits your skin, and you just need a light weight and effective sunscreen, go for this.
