Sunscreen, as we all know, is an absolute necessity. But besides being effective, it should also, not be harsh on your skin, not oily either and should not leave a whitish cast. If it has antioxidants in it, then it is like a blessing!
I absolutely love my Alba Botanica SPF30 sunscreen. However, it was out of stock from my retailer this time. So I picked up the SuperGoop sunscreen range.
Let’s see if has been a good choice or not.
Price: $19 for 2.4 fl oz
Sun exposure causes 90% of the visible signs of aging, so protect your youthful glow with Everyday Sunscreen from SuperGoop! ®, the premier line of doctor-formulated sun care. Gentle enough for all skin types, this avobenzone-based lotion provides powerful SPF50 protection against the full spectrum of skin-damaging UV rays. It also heals while it protects, enhancing skin’s vibrancy with antioxidant-rich Cellular Response Technology™ and hydrating with beta-glucan—a more efficient long-term moisturizer than hyaluronic acid. Free of oils and minerals, the formula absorbs completely into the skin with no residue, so it’s ideal for all skin tones. The lightweight, non-comedogenic lotion allows skin to breathe and offers 80 minutes of water-resistance. Infused with natural extracts of citrus, basil and Boise de rose to create a light fragrance (not a sunscreen smell). Rated PA+++ for the highest level of UVA sun protection. Made in USA.
My Experience with the Supergoop! Everyday Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50:
This sunscreen comes in a tube packaging, which is flat and travel-friendly. But, this product should have come in a pump dispenser! It is soo soo soo runny!! When you shake the tube, you can actually hear the whooshing of liquid inside it. Needless to say, it makes quite a mess to use, because too much comes out or gets lodged on the lid, leading to product wastage. That is why I say, it would have been ideal had it come in a pump packaging. Also, I strongly recommend that you store this tube in upright fashion or horizontally, but never with the cap on the bottom. If you place t in that matter, you are liable to get a fountain of sunscreen spilling over your dresser, clothes etc.
The texture of this sunscreen is like some buttery milk. A little goes a long way. Although oil free, if this lotion is used in excess it will give your face an oil pan look. This sunscreen absorbs really quickly. It leaves behind a healthy glow and does not leave any whitish cast whatsoever. I use it with lacto calamine oil-control lotion as it tones done the shine factor.
This sunscreen has SPF of 50 and PAA protection. This is the best sun protection you can get without doubt. The sunscreen is sweat proof and water proof, but needs to be reapplied every 2 hours for continued sun protection.I feel that this lotion keeps my skin hydrated all day long. It does not cause me to sweat and does not clog my pores. It has protected my skin from sun tan in Hyderabad heat, and that says a lot. By the way, what is up with the weather of Hyderabad, it seems May is here already!
I am really satisfied with the product.
