Hello everyone,
If you remember I had reviewed the toner by the same brand which is a much hyped beauty essential in Australian beauty world. As I had started using the toner during my stay there itself, I thought I would pick up this handy tub of these toning wipes. Let us see how it fared for me.
Price – Rs. 600/- for 60 wipes
My experience with T.N.Dickinson’s Witch Hazel Face Wipes:
The packaging might seem to be a bit chubby and uncomfortable initially but 60 saturated wipes in a tub is like bliss for travelling. The screw-in lid does not allow any leakage and this I felt could be my best buddy for trips. There is an aluminum + plastic coating on the top to prevent any leakage of the toner. Each wipe is so well saturated that it easily covers the full face and neck. And a quick calculation, if you are using toner twice a day, this is a month’s supply.
The typical pungent smell of witch hazel is evident in this toner as well, but fortunately it does not linger for long. Now coming to the nightmare part of the story, the wipes are so rough in texture, it seems like ribbing mini pins on your face; you just cannot glide it in the skin; feels so abrasive that I feared I might get scratches all over my face after the first use. I was so disappointed, I cannot even begin to explain. I have never come across anything that is so scratchy for the face, you would not like to clean your feet with this. There is a pricking sensation which is beyond my belief.
So long story cut short, this was a warning post, Do not buy this. The toner is no good if the applicator feels like pin pricks on the face. Now that the review is done, this is going to the bin straightaway.
Pros of T.N.Dickinson’s Witch Hazel Face Wipes:
• Handy packaging
• Effective toner
Cons of T.N.Dickinson’s Witch Hazel Face Wipes:
• Scratchy – I could not use it at all, so I cannot comment if the claims are true at all. It failed at the very beginning so…it is all cons!
IMBB Rating – 0.5/5 (for the handy packaging).
Would I recommend/repurchase T.N.Dickinson’s Witch Hazel Face Wipes?
Big no to both!
