Tamarind Face Mask For Bright and Glowing Skin: Do It Yourself
Hello ladies,

Today, I am going to share a face mask with you all which has become my recent favourite. I love tamarind chatni and add it lavishly in my sambar, until recently, I had never thought of using this on my skin, but when I did, I loved the results. This Friday, we had an office party and I had a singing performance for the evening. I planned to go to the event location directly from office, so I carried my dress and some makeup with me there. In the green room, after cleaning my face and applying makeup primer, when I started looking for foundation, I realized that I had forgot to pack the foundation and I had no face base makeup stuff with me. Thank God, that a night before, I had used this tamarind face mask and so my skin was in a good condition that day. I just dabbed some compact powder on and my skin looked all set for the party 🙂 When I told other girls that I forgot the foundation and I have only powder on my face, they were not ready to believe me 😀
So here I am, to share the secret of this life-saver skin brightening and glow-adding face mask with you all. Here are the ingredients we need:

- One spoon tamarind pulp (do not use the packed pulp, use fresh pulp).
- One spoon Multani Mitti.
- One spoon sandalwood powder.
- Two spoons of curd.
- Few drops of rose water.
- One clean bowl and spoon.
Method:
Step 1: Collect all the ingredients in one place. Take a clean bowl (preferably non metallic), add one spoon of tamarind pulp in it. Make fresh pulp, soak tamarind pieces in water for 1 hour, and once soft, squeeze out the pulp, and leave the skin behind.
Step 2: Add curd in the tamarind pulp. Then, add multani mitti and sandalwood powder in too (I used Banjara’s Multani Sandal powder, as this has both).
Step 3: Add a few drops of rose water and make paste of all the ingredients in a bowl. Once you get a nice mix, apply it all over on clean face.
Step 4: Let it sit on your face for 20 minutes, then wash off with warm water. Do not use soap after this. I suggest one should use it at night on clean face.
That’s all, the end result will be a bright glowing face 🙂
Tamarind has anti oxidants, Vitamin C, AHA and anti-bacterial properties. It also has hydra lock property which balances the moisture in skin, but as it is acidic in nature, it is better to do a patch test before using it all over your face, as some people with sensitive skin tend to be very sensitive to acidic fruits on skin and doing a patch test is a must for all sensitive skin beauties and do not increase the amount of tamarind, more tamarind might cause itchiness.
I hope you all will try this face pack and let me know how it worked for you 🙂
