Hola Beauties!! How are you all doing? Great, I presume.
First of all, let me explain the reason for my erratic presence on IMBB this month. First, of course, were my exams, which I can’t believe I have given with such half a heart. Honestly, I am a CA as per I and my folks, I have done so much work and studied so much already. But, apparently the institute doesn’t think so, and I am just so fed up of it, honestly. Thankfully, exams got over and then I went to Delhi for work purpose. Then after coming back, when I finally sat down happily to write, heavy cold pulled me down. I can’t tell you how much I detest cold. Honestly, it is just so gross. You look drab, you keep wiping your nose which by now has turned red like a tomato, and your eyes are constantly watery. I think the film and television industry should be sued for showing the actresses so glam and in all their glory even on sick days. It is such a big, fat lie.
Wow! I am feeling so much better already, after blabbering it all to you guys. Who could have thought that typing away could soothe your troubled mind? So, coming to today’s product, it is another of my three Tangle Teezer’s, the Tangle Teezer Salon Elite. Actually, I was so happy with my “Shaun the Sheep” Compact Styler, that I wanted to pick up one more. Then I thought, why not pick another variant? It would be fun to have too. And then, much to my mother’s horror and father’s dismay (even though I spent my own money to get it, but you know parents 😛 ), I ended up getting three. Read on to know about my experience with the Salon Elite version.
The Tangle Teezer Salon Elite comes at a price of Rs. 1199/-, though I got it for 959/- from amazon. Pretty expensive, I know, but then, you ought to buy sometimes for luxury too, and trust me, Tangle Teezers are one luxury you do not want your gorgeous hair to be deprived off. It comes in a rectangular and transparent casing. Since the product itself looks so cute and colorful, in all its pink and blue glory. All the sides of the packaging have something to say about the product. On one side, you have product description, on another you have the intro for Shaun Pulfrey, the inventor of Tangle Teezer, and you have the description of the brand on the other.
The packaging is very secure and sturdy, in case you want to pack it up. As you know, in my case, I already have the compact styler for travel and handbag purpose, but if you want to carry this on your travel, the outer case is really, very sturdy. When you open it up, you have the product inside, and a pamphlet, bearing the flag of Great Britain, and the description for Tangle Teezer, in various languages.
Take a look at the pictures. Isn’t it cute?
My Experience with Tangle Teezer Salon Elite Detangling Brush:
The Tangle Teezer Salon Elite is a perfect fit for your hand. It has a unique mango shape, which easily fits into the curve of my hands, when I brush my hair using it. You know the most unique thing that I find about Tangle Teezers, is their uneven teeth. Though they are made of plastic (I think), they are super smooth, flexible and soft. They just glide over your hair. At first when I saw this, I was skeptical whether it could really reach knots at the base of my neck, or, you know, at the start of my hair. Those are really the hard-to-reach areas for me, and trust me, the knots at the nape of your neck are very irritating. Plus, they hurt like hell when you try to comb them out.
At this point of time, Tangle Teezer comes in as a savior. It fits in the curve of my hand perfectly, to give that give that salon silky, knot-free finish to my straight hair; knot-free hair, that look healthy and shiny. Plus, my hair felt soooo soft to touch. I don’t know if it is just with me, but if my hair is not perfectly combed or tangle free, it feels and looks lifeless and limp. Tangle Teezer infused it with life.
As with the compact one, you can use it in shower with conditioner too. However, I feel, that you should have separate Tangle Teezers for handbag, home and shower, because the wet hair that gets stuck in between the teeth, gets a bit of a task to take out, especially when you are in a hurry. For me, this works best to comb wet or dry hair, when I am out of shower.
It is easy enough to wash it. Just soak it in shampoo and water solution for 5 minutes. Take it out and lightly rub the teeth with a toothbrush. Dip it again in clear water, and you are done. Easy peesy 😀
Pros of Tangle Teezer Salon Elite Detangling Brush:
- Looks absolutely droolworthy.
- Sturdy packaging, in case you want to pop the same in your handbag.
- Can be used to apply conditioner in shower too, if you are not running short of time, and can use the same after taking out random strands and drying it.
- Easily available online.
- Gives salon-like straight and silky, knot-free finish.
- Can be used on wet and dry hair.
- Sorts out even the worst of tangles, even the ones that are on the nape of your neck.
- Easy to clean.
- Worth your bucks, trust me.
Cons of Tangle Teezer Salon Elite Detangling Brush:
- A separate comb needed for neat hairstyles as this can make your hair tangle free, but you can’t possibly make a plait or pony tail with it.
IMBB Rating and Recommendation:
My Rating for Tangle Teezer Salon Elite is 4.5/5. Though I prefer the compact version for the mere convenience factor, this is a perfect choice if you are one of those who want to keep three different product; one at home, one in shower, and one inside your handbag, and save yourself the trouble of combing and then popping inside handbag.
I do recommend. Splurge on something that your hair is going to love and adore. It is worth it. 😀
