Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss Park Ave Princess Review

By Jessica Prativadi

Hi everyone!

Today I’m reviewing Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss – Park Ave Princess. Tarte is a well-known high-end brand, known for its eyeshadow palettes and the 12-Hour Amazonian Clay products. I purchased this lip gloss because it was a good deal. I was very surprised at how much I liked this product because I don’t typically use lip glosses. So, let’s get started with the review.

My Experience with Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss Park Ave Princess:

I have incredibly dry lips. They get really chapped and even crack during winters. I try my best to keep them moisturized using either Vaseline or EOS Lip Balms. Due to this dry nature, I don’t usually like using lip glosses because they feel sticky and thick.

‘Park Ave Princess’ is a sheer nude colour with peach highlights and sparkles. Personally, I think this shade would flatter a wide variety of skin tones and could even be worn on top of a lipstick. This individual lip gloss retails for $19 but I got it for $12.

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss Park Ave Princess Details

The product has a standard lip gloss packaging. It’s a plastic tube with a screw-on cap that has an ergonomically-designed doe foot applicator. It’s pink and purple. The tube is strong, closes tightly and can be kept in a bag without any fear of spills or leaks. There is 8 ml of product. The shade ‘Park Ave Princess’ is available in a lip gloss, a lipstick, a blush and a bronzer form.

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss Park Ave Princess Applicator

This is a great product when you’re aiming for a natural, but slightly feminine look. It looks great with long lashes, in my opinion. The gloss is pretty shimmery, but it’s not goopy or thick in an unflattering way. It feels light and just a tad bit sticky. Just like any other lip gloss, you apply it across your lips, perhaps over a lip balm or lipstick.

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss Park Ave Princess Lip Swatch

It has a lovely warm scent. The consistency is nice; you can feel it on your lips, but it doesn’t weigh them down or transfer much once it sets. The staying power of this gloss is pretty surprising.

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss Park Ave Princess in Sunlight

Since it is a little sticky, I thought it would transfer a lot but it stays on pretty well, even after a cup of coffee. The shine might fade a little, but the overall peachy shade seems to stay. It won’t stay on through a meal, but it doesn’t get patchy. You can reapply it after meals without any issue.

Pros of Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss Park Ave Princess:

• Strong packaging
• Great price
• Pretty, shimmery shade (an essential in any lip collection)
• Lightweight texture
• Good staying power for a lip gloss
• Smells nice, but not overpowering
• Doesn’t contain many of the harmful chemicals that are often found in cosmetics
• Contains Vitamins A, C and E

Cons of Tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss Park Ave Princess:

• Slightly sticky
• Cannot last all day long
• Some might find it expensive

IMBB Rating: 4.5/5
