How are you doing today? I am so excited to plan for our upcoming long weekend trip to Oregon. Moreover, this is going to be our next best stay at a rented home, possibly 400 miles away from our home with friends, where gals will enjoy night out with no hubby or boyfriends. How cool is that! I can’t wait for Friday now! Anyway, today I am here to share another Tarte Park Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer with you all which was my go-to beauty product during the trip. I bought it last year during my major shopping haul. And, I am glad I got it, even though I was clueless in the beginning! The kit involves this bestselling Tarte Amazonian clay mineral bronzer in shade “park ave princess” and Brazilliance Skin Rejuvenating Maracuja Self Tanner. The tanner was taken away by my SIL and she swears by it – day or night. So, let’s move onto my review for Tarte Amazonian Clay Mineral Bronzer Park Ave Princess!
Product Performance: Want to create that perfect seamless, sunkissed radiance? It’s now easier than ever to bronze & glow™ with tarte’s best-selling, multi-tasking bronzer formulated to blend and build your perfect level of uniform bronze. $30 for 0.32 oz
I received its 0.11 oz Deluxe Bronzer for $9 along with Tarte Brazilliance Skin Rejuvenating Maracuja Self Tanner.
My Experience with Tarte Park Ave Princess Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer:
Since I haven’t used the tanner, I would narrate short experience of my SIL about the same. According to my SIL, the tanner works great on her medium-light skin tone. She uses it to amplify her zero figure legs and arms as they say using bronzers and tanners on heavy cellulite deposition areas makes them appear leaner and slimmer. Amazing, huh!
Talking about the bronzer, it comes in signature Tarte packaging with flip top cap, but no applicator or mirror inside which seem disappointing. Nevertheless, I like this cute little flip top bronzer.
The shade I received is Park Ave Princess which is described as highly pearled light yellow gold on few websites. However, the shimmers are not over the top and appear way mild on our fair-light skin tone. Even I tried it on my fair/pale skin during my girl’s birthday party and it made me glow like a golden diva without turning orange or making me look dark, luckily.
The texture of this bronzer is powdery, but way silky and soft. It adheres to and blends on the skin very nicely, only to leave a graceful sun kissed look. I used my all in one Sephora powder brush for blending it on skin. I need just a gentle stroke for golden glow especially for evenings or nights out while it can give buildable coverage with multiple swipes for contouring around the jawline or cheeks.
Even I felt that it is good to be used on our chest area and hands for that golden glow, as my SIL says. I love how it blends effortlessly on my skin without giving any flaky or chalky feel at all. It is a blessing for my oily skin even with the presence of shimmers. After all, it is a mineral based make up product.
This shade seems like a good match for my pale skin, but I make sure not to go overboard with it during day time. I also feel that it gives much better coverage and finish over foundation than on bare skin. Also it stays longer over makeup.
I am also impressed to see that it does not dry out our skin, even though it gives me shine free face. I would definitely recommend this shade and bronzer to every India beauty! Personally, I would like to try it again as I am jumping into the makeup bandwagon soon!
Let’s sum up pros and cons:
Pros of Tarte Park Ave Princess Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer:
• A mineral based bronzer infused with the goodness of Amazonian clay, Vitamin A & E etc.
• Formulated without parabens, sulfates and phthalates.
• Gives a gorgeous, golden glow to our pale-fair skin without looking overboard with shimmers.
• The texture is velvet powdery which goes on smooth and effortlessly on our skin.
• Does not dry our skin nor does it accentuate oily skin or open pores.
• Blends seamlessly with any dome powder brush to give sun kissed glow while it can give buildable coverage with any bronzer brush for effective contouring
• Does not irritate my acne prone, oily skin even after using it more often.
• Quite user friendly and travel friendly packaging.
Cons of Tarte Park Ave Princess Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer:
• I wish it came with its own applicator and mirror.
• It might be tricky for medium skin toned beauties, especially if they are looking for a contouring shade.
• It only works over foundation and primer on my face.
• It does contain mica which might be bother some people.
Well, personally I don’t have any issues with its subtle contouring or ingredient list. But, I accept I can’t use it on my bare skin. I am sure they must have a mirror with its full deluxe sized packaging unlike this portable packaging.
