Tarte has a whole set of aqua based skincare products in their “Rainforest of the Sea” collection. They have a moisturiser, cleanser, setting spray, masks and a lip scrub encompassed in this line. Today, I am going to talk about their “Rainforest of the sea drink of H2O hydrating boost moisturizer”. So, without further rambling, let’s get into the review.

WHAT IT DOES
Gives a healthy glow from H2O. This cooling gel features a thirst-quenching cocktail of hyaluronic acid & electrolyte-balancing sea salts that hydrates skin without weighing it down. As the non-greasy formula quickly absorbs, it infuses skin with marine antioxidants from our Rainforest of the Sea complex, fighting free radicals & plumping the appearance of fine lines for a bouncy, ageless look.

How to Use:
Apply evenly all over the face & neck after cleansing. For best results, use in the morning & at night.

My Experience with Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturizer:

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Drink Of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturizer comes in a purple, turquoise tub with a gold cap. There is also an outer purple paper carton with the product details. Since I purchased the travel size, I didn’t get the outer carton. The packaging is eye-catching, but the tub packaging is a bit unhygienic.

The moisturizer has a mild citrusy scent that is very refreshing and doesn’t feel overwhelming. The product has a texture of moderate transparent gel-like lotion, which may look like a white gel cream. The product is not much slick and slippery.

Drink Of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturizer is basically a lightweight gel moisturizer for dry skin. This is a water based gel moisturizer that promises to hydrate the skin with marine antioxidants. The moisturizer is cool, refreshing and absorbs so easily to the skin and leaves it super hydrated.

This is a thick gel and I’ve found that a little goes a very long way. It absorbs easily into the skin and leaves behind soft and hydrated skin. It is super lightweight and doesn’t feel heavy at all. I find this very refreshing and hydrating and feels as though, the skin has had a fresh drink of water. It wears very well under makeup and eases the flaky or drier areas around my cheeks and forehead. Although it leaves behind a semi matte finish without making it oily or creates unnecessary shine, it does make the foundation slip away.

This has a formula that dry skin users will get benefited the most. However, it does have silicones. So, if you have dry and sensitive skin, this might give you few problems. Overall, I love this moisturizer that is loaded with antioxidants and marine based ingredients. These two hydrating skin helpers will keep your skin hydrated and baby soft.
