Today, I am reviewing a blush by Tarte, in the shade “Shimmering Peach.” Tarte is a well-known brand on the high-end side, known for their eyeshadow palettes and their 12-Hour Amazonian Clay products. This was something I had originally purchased simply because it was a good deal, but ended up loving it so much. On to the review…

My Experience with Tarte Shimmering Peach Airblush Maracuja Blush:
I have combination skin, oily around the T-zone and dry on my cheeks. I think my skin tone would be around medium to dark. This blush is supposed to be a peachy shade, but I think it’s more of a coral. Nevertheless, it is an extremely flattering colour on practically any skin tone.
The packaging of this product is lovely. The deep purple and gold pattern on the front is so cute. It’s sturdy, compact and travel-friendly. For the price, there is so much product in this little thing!
The pigmentation of this product is phenomenal. It shows up instantly, giving you that “just-pinched, rosy-cheeks” look. I would say it’s on the matte side, but depending on your lighting situation, there may be a little shine. Just like any other blush, you would apply it to the apples of your cheeks. It is not overwhelming, but you can definitely pack it on if you want a more dramatic look. The consistency is probably my favourite aspect – it’s so creamy and blends so easily. Since the pigmentation is brilliant, you could use a little bit for an everyday/natural look, or a heavy-hand if you’re going for a bold look.
The staying power of this blush is great! I put it on the morning and it stays on until I take it off at night. It just barely fades after the initial maybe 8 hours. I have pretty dry cheeks but you probably would not have to reapply it throughout the day. Even if you chose to, I don’t think you would use that much product, just a little touch-up maybe. It’s such a lovely shade, and looks particularly great in the winter.

- Would suit a lot of skin tones.

- Lightweight.
- Great staying power!
- If you look under the ingredients, it doesn’t contain many of the harmful chemicals that are often found in cosmetics.
Cons of Tarte Shimmering Peach Airblush Maracuja Blush:
- This is hardly a con, but worth mentioning, slightly tricky to get the product on the brush, unless you are using a dense one. My normal blush brush doesn’t quite pick it up unless I kind of press into it.
