Today, I am here to share another surprise gift from my hubby which is by far his perfect pick, as per my opinion. 😛 I mean I do like his surprise games, but this time, I had a real smile on my face when I opened it. Yes gals, it’s a shimmery silver black eyeliner from Tarte. I am not a pro in eye makeup, but I am practicing to get perfection (that’s how you learn and explore new ‘you’, thanks to IMBB!). I love using eye liners as they are safe game for learners like me. And this Tarte SmolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner is just perfect. Let’s read on to know more about this waterproof liner!

My Experience with Tarte SmolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner in Silver Black:

The liner comes in dual pencil packaging with smudger at one end and waterproof liner at other end, tightly enclosed inside safety cap. It does include a sharpener which is plus point. Apart from this, it is user friendly & travel friendly.

Coming to the shade, I received Silver Black and as the name suggests, it’s a black water proof liner with silver shimmers. I like how these shimmers compliment the black liner without being overboard. I use it to highlight the inner corner of eyes and on special occasions. It never fails to steal compliments from people around.

I strongly feel that silver shimmers are the USP of this liner since the shade itself is not very intensely black. Even I noticed that it does make my eyes look bigger while wearing it closer to the waterline and lash line which makes it a must-have for parties and other occasions! I never felt the need of using its smudger end since the liner itself gives thick, prominent and defined lines and I am more comfortable with my finger tips. I did feel, however, that the smudger is soft and delicate for our sensitive eyes.

Talking about the texture, it’s super soft and slides effortlessly on my eyes. Even though it is a pencil liner, it gives intense pigmentation with just one gentle swipe without tugging or pulling. The liner stays put for good 7+ hours or even longer, sometimes. I do miss the jet black liquid liner effect, but this pencil does its job with perfection, I must say!

It gives intense black pigmentation with silver shimmers which may work as a highlighter apart from giving the effect of wide open eyes that too with no smudging. I have oily eyelids and still the liner never smudges or transfers anywhere on my face. I usually fear wearing it on my waterline since it has shimmers, but I guess, it will be absolutely safe since it never caused any irritation to my eyes even after wearing it pretty close to waterline and lash line.

Moreover, it never gave me red eyes or burning eyes even after wearing it overnight several times, though I noticed remnants of liner under and around my eye area. I am quite impressed by the fact that it is easily removable with oil and cotton while being gentle on our eyes. I am sure every girl would love to try it for special events or moments, irrespective of her age and season around.

Even I personally skip shimmery products, but this liner is another exception like my previous shimmery make up products. I would definitely recommend this buttery, water proof liner to you all. In fact, I would like to hoard on more water proof liners like these in every possible shade.

Conclusion:
Well, I usually prefer retractable pencils, but I can certainly live with sharpenable pencils too as long as the products are healthy and safe for my eyes. Plus, I can make every possible use of this shade in my life. Still, I would think before shelling out 22 bucks for a liner especially when I have tried Eyeko & other liners in the market which are cheaper. Typical desi wife, I know!
