My Experience with Tarte Tarteist Clay Paint Liner and Brush:

For eyeliners, my favorite method is using a pen style felt tip eyeliner (like Kat Von D Tattoo Liner) as it helps me get the super sharp wing, which is my signature look. I have tried gel liners in the past, but I don’t like the fact that they dry out so quickly and are a hassle to use. Hence I don’t think they are worth the money. But this new clay liner with its innovative application method caught my eye and I couldn’t resist picking it up.

Packaging and Usage:
This eyeliner comes in a very innovative packaging. Instead of the eyeliner being in a tub, it comes in a squeeze tube and you can disperse as much product as required. This property limits the exposure of the rest of the product to air, thereby preventing it from drying out. There is a scoop at the end of the dispenser which makes it easy to coat your liner brush and can be wiped off after use for a clean and hygienic experience. This product also comes with an eyeliner brush, which I love. I have never used a bent eyeliner brush and was prepared for a hard time transitioning to it, but surprisingly it was super easy to use and I got a clean application from the very first use.

I like how thin the synthetic brush is which makes it easy to get really close to the lash line even in the inner corners. The bent tip makes it easy to create a sharp wing. It holds a good amount of product, hence I don’t have to keep going back for more again and again. You do have to wipe off the brush post usage to clean off the residue product, else you will have a hard as rock brush the next time you reach for it. I use my Cinema Secrets Brush Cleaner to clean it.

Texture and Shade:
This eyeliner is very creamy and pigmented. It is very black and I love the matte finish. It dries in about 10-15 seconds and becomes budge proof.

Staying Power:
This eyeliner is long wearing. It claims to have staying power of 12 hours, but I have not worn it that long. It does not fade and retains its deep intensity of black color for upto 8-9 hours. It is also waterproof, but comes off easily with an eye makeup remover.

Overall:
I love this product. I have used it on many occasions and it has not failed me.

In the eye looks, you can see how I created a thin line as well as super thick eyeliner using this product and the brush it came with. I am obsessed with this liner and will recommend this.
