My Experience with Tarte Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint:
Packaging: This lipstick comes packaged in a gold and berry color cardboard box and the actual lipstick comes in a clear tube with a black cap. The name of the brand is engraved in golden color on the tube and it also holds the name of the shade at the bottom. The doe foot applicator is like a normal applicator and it is very precise and to the point.
Shade: Inspo is a perfect raspberry pink shade with a red undertone. It is a gorgeous shade and will work across complexions. This particular shade looks very beautiful on the lips and brightens up the face instantly. These lip paints also have a gorgeous minty smell.
Formula: The formula of the Tarte lip paints is quite interesting; they are not like the regular liquid lipsticks. The lipstick is more like a cream; it has a thick mousey consistency and it feels as though we are applying a cream on the lips. It spreads easily and takes quite some time to dry down. It doesn’t dry down completely, so it is not transfer-proof. It has a good coverage and has an insane pigmentation. They are not streaky and goes opaque in one swipe. It is not a true matte lipstick; it is more like a satin powdery matte, but it looks great on the lips just like a true matte. They are not like your regular Kat Von De or ColourPop liquid lipsticks. They are different and nice.
Staying Power: It stays the whole day for around 8 hours. It does survive meals but may start to fade a little after some time, but it can be easily reapplied. It leaves a beautiful stain on the lips. Since it doesn’t dry to a complete drop-dead matte, it is very hydrating and feels comfortable on the lips and doesn’t cling to dry patches. It feels very lightweight and I don’t feel like having anything on my lips and this is my favorite part of this lipstick.
I think this shade is a close match of Estee Lauder Matte Lipstick Unattainable. So, overall, I really like these lip paints and everyone should try these.
