So, on my recent vacation, I got my hands on a really amazing palette from Tarte. It was on my “wishlist” since quite some time and finally picked it up 🙂 I purchased this as part of IMBB sponsored scheme. This palette is one of the most talked about palette from Tarte and I will be reviewing this for you today. To know whether it was a hit or a miss, read on 🙂

My Experience with Tarte Tarteist Pro Amazonian Clay Palette:

Talking about packaging, this palette comes in a black glossy cardboard box with product details mentioned in gold colour. The actual palette is matte black from the outside and golden on the inside. All matte shades are in square pan and glitter shades are housed in circular pans that have been fitted securely into the palette. Plus point! there is a huge mirror inside. From the picture on the website, I never thought this palette would be so huge. The mirror is probably the clearest I have ever seen. I love the packaging. It is travel friendly because the palette is huge yet sleek to fit into travel bags. There is a card inside which has kind of a mini tutorial mentioned. It suggests 4 evergreen makeup looks to create using these eye shadows which is very thoughtful of Tarte to include in the palette.

First thing that got my attention was the formulation of the shades – all of the eye shadows are formulated with amazonian clay for which I give Tarte a big thumbs up and secondly they all are super duper pigmented. All of my swatches that you see in the pics are just single swipe and all of them are intensely pigmented.

Texture wise, they are so smooth and powdery except for a couple of colours (Mod, Smoked and Punk). They are a bit chalky, otherwise all neutral shades are super smooth and glide well on the eyelids. “Punk” is a charcoal black colour but on swatching it looks chalky.

This palette has a beautiful combination of neutrals for transitioning and plum shades for building outer corners.

Along with all the matte shades, there are four insanely pigmented shimmer shades (Ethereal, Glam, Minx and Trendy) with Trendy being my favourite from the lot. It is a beautiful glitter teal shade with purple reflection.

I have used this palette a couple of times and blending these shades is a bliss. They are blendable and buildable.

Overall, I give this palette a huge thumbs up and I recommend this to all makeup enthusiasts. Though price wise, it is on the expensive side, this truly is an everyday palette.
