Tata Harper Restorative Eye Creme, Eucerin AntiREDNESS Soothing Care, Eucerin Dermo Purifyer Active Night Care Review

Skin Type : Normal to dry / quite sensitive especially in colder weather

Hi Everyone, 🙂

Today, I am reviewing 3 products that have been part of my skin care routine for the past 2 months. The eye cream from Eucerin – I have been using for almost 5 months now. I thought it’s a good time I’d review them since I have used them in two extreme weathers – the chill of Paris and then the extreme summer of Delhi. 🙂

Tata Harper Restorative Eye Creme

I like to invest in good eye creams. This might be way too expensive but considering the amount of time I spend staring at my laptop and phone and TV…well, I do like to keep my skincare game strong. I have been using this eye cream since the beginning of January, every single day, and I am about to finish it up. It comes in a lovely green pump bottle with a gold rim. There is also a cap that comes with it. I clearly have lost it while travelling. The eye cream has a thin, fluid cream texture that just glides on your skin and soaks in within seconds.

It feels very light, mild and hydrating on the skin. There is a light lemony, almost herbal-ish fragrance to it. Honestly, I did not start with this cream on a very exciting note; it was just another eye cream I was using on a regular basis. It felt quite light for the extreme cold temperature, but somehow my under-eye area was never dehydrated or had any stretchy feeling. This was the only eye cream I was using for both day and night time. Fast forward to 4 months and my under-eye area only looks better and smoother. Sometimes, when you use very rich under-eye creams, you get those tiny little bumps around the eye area, but I did not get them. This cream honestly has been a bit of surprise for me because sometimes you want products to show quick results.

This one definitely does not fall into that category. I think it’s over a longer course of time that I noticed how much better my under-eye area looks. I don’t have any major dark under eyes but I do get a lot of puffiness every now and then. On most puffy days, I did not notice it taking care of my puffiness. Even in extreme cold weathers of London and Paris, not even once I felt that my under eyes were dry or stretchy. And since it is quite light, it works fabulous in this hot weather too. This cream makes a fabulous base for the concealer to go on smoothly because it does plump and hydrate the under-eye area. This cream is also free of parabens, sulphates and phthalates. I do keep changing my skincare but I would definitely go back to this one whenever I get a chance to. I would definitely call it a great anti-ageing product as well.

I discovered Eucerin in London. It’s a German dermatological brand. When I traveled this time around, the weather not only took a toll on my hair, but my skin was all sensitive and weird too. It was breaking out, being sensitive and was even getting red, especially on my cheeks. I found this brand on a Boots aisle. I had read about this brand before, so I decided to give it a try. This moisturiser is meant for hyper-sensitive skin. It is free of preservatives, parabens, paraffin, fragrances, alcohol, colorants and emulsifier. I am also amazed how much attention has been paid to the packaging. It comes in this pump bottle with duo valve system that helps in minimising contamination and oxidisation of the product.
It is a cream-coloured, light moisturiser that feels light on the skin and gets absorbed within seconds. It does come across as a basic no-frill moisturiser and honestly, I was not impressed with it instantly. It did take care of my skin as time passed away and my skin started getting better with almost 15 days of regular usage.

My skin was much better and it’s almost 2 months now, my skin has only gotten better with regular use. That said, it’s not one of the most “wow” products out there. It’s like a basic good moisturiser that is fuss free and would take care of your skin. It is meant to treat rosacea too. In my case, it pretty much brought the balance back in my skin and I was more than happy. It did soothe my skin from all kinds of craziness that was happening. This formula combines two active ingredients SymSitive* and Licochalcone A. They are both anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant components. This is the kind of product on which you can always rely on when you have problem. I am not madly in love with this one but this is one brand that goes on my list of most trusted ones. Eucerin is easily available at Boots and pharmacies in London and Europe, especially, but not available in India. But when you travel, do give a look at their products.

I also started using their night cream. It is an oil-free night cream that contains lactic acid. Lactic acid is one of the most popular alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) in skin care today, marketed as a powerful ingredient that helps in reducing acne breakouts and the appearance of wrinkles and other signs of aging. This is a lightweight, white-colored cream. It does have a fragrance unlike the day cream. I quite like it and it’s not bothersome at all. This turned out to be an absolutely amazing night cream. I had higher expectations from the day cream but the night cream turned out to be a star product for my skin. If you have acne-prone skin, you can use this with your regular acne skin care products as well.

My skin started looking better from the first night that I had started using it. And over a period of almost 2 months, this has been really effective in re-balancing my skin texture and the look of it. This cream claims to reduce blemishes. I can’t really vouch for that. The blemishes on my skin has reduced but it could be the change in weather (I am in very hot weather now), or other products that I use. I can’t really put a finger on just this product, but I absolutely have no words on how much Eucerin skincare has helped my skin with continuous usage. My skin was all kinds of crazy in sub-zero temperatures – it was dry, sensitive, was getting red randomly…this really helped in getting my skin balance back. It has only helped in improving the texture of my skin with continuous usage. I really wish I could get this brand here in India, but I know whenever I am going to travel, Eucerin products are coming back with me.
