A few days back, the very famous skincare brand ‘Tatcha’ has launched their first lipstick with absolutely top-notch ingredients and a perfect shade of red which will work great for all skin tones. This lipstick is expensive than Tom Ford lipstick and I’m glad about the purchase. The shade that I will be reviewing today is called Kyoto Red.
What it is:
The geisha’s timeless vermillion lip remastered for the modern woman. Rooted in a shade that is one of the most distinctive, symbolic colors in Japan.
Why it’s different:
This feather-light formula combines brilliant pigments with pure silk and botanical extracts for a long-wearing matte finish that keeps lips hydrated.
Who it’s for:
A universal shade that flatters all skin tones. Non-irritating. Non-sensitizing. Dermatologist tested.
My Experience with Tatcha Kyoto Red Silk Lipstick:
The lipstick feels so luxurious. It comes in a heavy black tube with gold detailing and it looks absolutely expensive. The brand name is engraved on the tube and the logo is engraved on the top of the cap. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube.
This is one of the best red lipsticks I have, till now. Kyoto red is a beautiful bright blue based red which would look stunning on all the skin tones. And, for women who got tired of using matte lipsticks or liquid lipsticks, go grab this one, because the formula of this lipstick is super comfortable, pigmentated and opaque.
This lipstick offers a full coverage in a single swipe and has a slight sheen to it. This is not a flat matte for sure but, it does lose its shine after a few hours of wear time. Kyoto Red doesn’t bleed or settle into fine lines of my lips and feels very lightweight on the lips.
It kept my dry lips really hydrated throughout the wear time. I didn’t notice any fragrance in this lipstick which is always a plus for people with a sensitive nose. It lasts for 6 to 7 hours on me leaving a stain behind.
Pros of Tatcha Kyoto Red Silk Lipstick:
- Stunning red shade.
- Lasts pretty well.
- Beautiful packaging.
- Offers full coverage in a single swipe.
- Feels comfortable on the lips.
- No fragrance.
- Doesn’t bleed.
- Hydrating on the lips.
Cons of Tatcha Kyoto Red Silk Lipstick:
IMBB Rating: 5/5
