My Experience with Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist:

Feel and Look on skin:  This skin mist gives a super luminous look to the skin. To me, it looks more glow-y and less dewy (which in my mind means “wet looking”). The glow looks very natural and makes your skin look healthy and plump. This spray can be used both before and/or after makeup. When sprayed on the skin, it leaves a slight tacky feel which does transfer unless you set it lightly. When I use it before makeup, I usually top it with a tinted moisturizer or a sheer coverage foundation and the glow is still visible through. It also works great under matte foundation to help the skin look not so flat.

When used over makeup, it provides a light and nice boost of hydration to the skin and makes my skin feel tight (like the feeling you get after you use a toner) and takes away the dull appearance and excess powdery look on the skin. You should go very light handed with this mist or it is very much possible for you to look like a grease ball.  Around 1-2 sprays should be more than enough to give you a nice luminous look to the skin.

The thing I don’t like about this product is that it is really difficult to control the areas you want the glow on and the areas that you would rather have matte. For example, my eye area is usually very oily and I prefer the area to be shine free and for most people that area will be their T zone too. When I spray this, it inevitably also gets on to those areas unless I shield it with my hand or something else. Hence I do feel like I need to do a light dusting of powder even after I spray this only on some targeted areas.

Staying Power:  This skin mist did not make me look greasy or sweaty by the end of the day, but the shine was still intact for 5-6 hours, after which I did feel a slight need to blot to look polished.

Fragrance:  This skin mist has a very refreshing summery scent which I love.

Overall, since I am a fan of glow-y skin, I have been loving this product. This product gives the most natural-looking super celebrity glow-y look to your skin, which is incomparable to any other “glow-y” product I have used. I love the versatility of how you can transfer any makeup look to luminous with just a few spritz. I don’t see this product being loved by oily skin as it is too glow-y and dewy. Dry skin beauties will love this.

Pros of Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist:

  • Beautiful luxe bottle.
  • Refreshing scent.
  • Sprays a very fine even mist.
  • Gives a very natural-looking glow to the skin.
  • Gives healthy-looking supple skin.
  • Hydrating.
  • Takes away excess powdery look of the face.
  • Reduces matte appearance of foundation when used over or under it.
  • Does not make my skin look sweaty or greasy.
  • No shimmer.

Cons of Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist:

  • Expensive.
  • A little goes a long a way. If you spritz too much, it will make you look sweaty.
  • It is hard to control when you want the glow as it spritz all over.
  • Not suitable for oily skin due to the very glowy dewy appearance.
  • Slight tacky feel on the skin which is not bothersome, but the feeling is noticeable unless set with a light dusting of powder.
  • The glow/shine does transfer on your fingertips if you touch your face if you do not set it lightly.
