“Give a woman the right makeup and she can conquer the world.” – Marilyn Monroe
We’re all self-proclaimed beauty addicts and that’s a fact! You know those products that you’ve got to try or own at least once in your lifetime because they are iconic. Also, once you’ve had the chance to smell, touch and test ’em, you’ll feel like you’ve just achieved a milestone. For example, L’Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray, Erno Laszlo’s Sea Mud Soap or Chanel N°5 Eau Premiere Spray are cult products that everybody wants to snag.
You may think that it’s not worth investing in these cult products and you can just pick up a dupe, but it’s different! It’s so much more. They’re established, reputable and completely worth all the money. Read on and drool over the products that you have got to try! Now!
Lorac Front of the Line PRO Black Liquid Eyeliner
Liquid liners, pencil liners and gel liners. Everyone’s always frustrated by liquid liners because sometimes it’s hard to get that perfect flick and when you’re in a hurry, it’s impossible! In the worst case scenarios, your liquid or gel liner might even die on you.
But, this pen liquid liner from Lorac is different. It can’t be compared at all. It’s got a tiny, flexible brush tip that’s precise and deposits the most pigmented ink ever and it doesn’t smudge or fade. It’s pigmentation is crazy and applying it with a light hand goes a long way.
The staying power isn’t a joke either. This stays on your eyes through rain, shine, sweat and rain. It just won’t budge. If you like your eyeliner to me midnight black or darker, this won’t disappoint. At $23, it’s a little pricey, but you’re paying for the quality here and it’s absolutely worth the splurge.
This! This is a classic that just can’t be missed! Nivea is just one of those brands that you, your mom and grandmother – all use and it’s been around for ages. Some even swear by Nivea. Females of all skin types love this rich, moisturizing crème and there’s a reason why!
The German-made formula of the Nivea crème is amazing for the skin. It moisturizes and also helps with the sensitivity of the skin. It’s thick and rich, but not crazy sticky either, which is impossible to comprehend. In fact, it’s got so many uses that some even use it as a moisturizing mask.
The texture is soft and creamy and it doesn’t cause your breakouts to get worse or cause any breakouts, at all. Kids and adults can use it and it hydrates the skin during all the seasons. Even the packaging is a plus and it’s inexpensive too at $0.99. It’s tiny, compact and an absolute on-the-go product that you can just chuck into your handbag and go.
Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque
Anything that has got mint in it is just refreshing and divine. Oily skin and congested pores, watch out! But, if you’ve got sensitive skin, use with caution.
This has been around for years and it’s like the queen of all face masks. This does help to eliminate excess oiliness from your face and helps with the greasiness and shine on your face. If you’ve got oily or acne-prone skin, this would help a lot. It’s also like a detox mask for your face as it helps to deeply cleanse the pores and to refresh your skin up without giving that tight feeling.
This face mask is also pretty thick, but it’s not stubborn when it comes to the removal process. Plus, aren’t thick face masks really relaxing sometimes? The mint does make it tingle when you’ve got it on your face and if you’ve got sensitive skin, the tingles can get pretty strong. So, it would be better to avoid this.
It can also smell pretty pungent at the start, but it’s not unbearable. But hey! If it works, I don’t mind the smell. I’ll suffer for the amazing results and skin as the aftermath! And, it’s cheap too at just $3.99.
Crest 3D Whitestrips Dental Whitening Kit
The whole world has an obsession with achieving whiter teeth and it’s practically insane. You too must have visited a dentist to get your teeth whitened before, but they’d go back to being dull again after a few day or a week later. Ever wondered how to keep ’em white for the longest time possible? Crest Whitestrips!
They’ll give you the best results you can ever get! They’ll give you whiter teeth without the sensitivity and the best part? The advanced seal technology grips onto your pearly whites like a sticker. Your gum line will be safe and pink. Oh, and the results are almost instant too! And here’s another little secret, you can drink water with these on too. So you won’t get fainted because of thirst during these 30 minutes. They’re more on the pricey side at $54.99 but yet again, you’re paying for quality.
ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment
Exfoliation products are amazing. They scrape off the dead skin cells from the surface of the skin and leave you with shiny, soft and glowing skin. This product is literally a luxury in a tube.
It’s basically like a hybrid of a classic facial scrub and a fruit enzyme peel. It does wonders in clearing up acne prone skin, flakey skin and dry patches too. It also calms your skin and brightens up your copmplexion too. It’s got a medicinal scent, but it’s kinda like cinnamon. It tingles a little and it could be a little intense for those with sensitive skin. Blemishes would be reduced too.
In a nutshell, it does what it claims. However, it’s a splurge and it’s crazily priced at $85.00 at Sephora.
I’m pretty sure you know this mascara as it’s been around for ages too. After all, the formula is over 40 years old! If you don’t own this, I’m pretty sure you know someone who does. It’s a hit and miss for some, but it gives you the most amazing lashes with just one stroke.
It’s a pretty decent mascara, doesn’t clump and subtly enhances your natural lashes. This product isn’t meant for a dramatic lash look, but it’s perfect for the natural look. It’s a must-have item for ‘no makeup’ days. The colour payoff is great too.
But, there’s also some cons like smudging, a watery formula, no length or volume, gets clumpy after a few coats and etc. But, it’s worth a try and it’s inexpensive too as it costs just $5.99.
The favorite maximum coverage concealer of many makeup artists and celebrities! There’s a pretty good reason why too.
It’s like an eraser. It’s pigmented and it’s creamy, but not too chalky. It gets applied smoothly on the skin and covers up dark circles, scars, pigmentation etc perfectly. Your skin will also look flawless and the texture is smooth and moisturizing too and hence, it doesn’t dry out the skin either.
It is also very insanely expensive, but worth every penny! It’s a splurge you’ll never regret. How much? $70.00!
Wen by Chaz Dean Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner
Natural products are always a pleasure to use. You won’t have to worry about any damage whatsoever. Wen by Chaz Dean is a product loved by many and this product has been a holy grail hair product for most.
The scent itself is divine and if you love almond or mint, you’re in for a treat. Your hair will feel clean and soft. It helps to heal damaged hair and if you’ve got frizzy, dry hair or you’ve bleached your hair before, this will fix your hair. You’ll see a difference in shine, durability and strength. You hair will become thicker, fuller, bouncier and a whole lot stronger. And, if you’ve got time to spare, leave it in your hair for 15-20 minutes like a hair mask and as a result, you’ll get silky, smooth hair.
It’s a little pricey for a cleansing conditioner at $32.00, but it’s the money you’ll be willing to invest in it just after one usage.
Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Matte SPF 15 Foundation
Powder foundation or liquid? Matte or dewy? That’s always been my dilemma when it comes to base makeup. This magically creamy powder foundation covers up more than you think it does and it doesn’t get cakey either. It comes in a loose powder form, but the packaging makes application easy and neat. It gives off the most natural finish and your natural skin still shows through a little.
If you’ve got oily or combination skin, this will keep your sebum at bay and will give you a subtle glow. While it isn’t too long-lasting, there’s nothing a primer can’t fix. Plus, it’s a mineral formula. I feel it’s pretty affordable as it is sold at $28.00.
This product isn’t just a light mist, but it’s a spritz of freshness for the skin. It truly saturates the skin and you might as well make it an essential step before and after applying your moisturizer.
It’s a great pick me up and saves dry skin too. Your skin will actually feel soft, refreshed and it won’t feel tight at all. This gives life to your skin and you can spray it over your makeup too as it doesn’t smudge or clump your foundation. It’s literally a holy grail product without a doubt! You have got to buy this. There’s no way this will harm your skin and you’ve got nothing to lose as it also is quite affordable at $18.
