My Experience with The Balm Bahama Mama Bronzer

If there is one brand that I have REALLY wanted to try was The Balm. Now that I have quite a few products form the brand, I cannot stop using them. The first from the range is the Bahama Mama Bronzer. I think if there is one bronzer that I have fallen heads over heels in love with after my NARS Laguna Bronzer, it is this one.

The color is a cool toned brown with greyish undertones. And you could not ask for a better contouring color. The greyish undertones of this product prevents it from looking muddy or orangey and give the most natural sculpted contouring effect on your cheeks. Plus it’s a matte bronzer. Makes it just perfect for the purpose.

The powder is finely milled and blends in like a dream. It does not get patchy during the day. It stays on all day long. I have barely seen it fading even after 7 hours of wear.

The powder is pretty pigmented. You can easily over do with it but it can easily be blended and is quite easy to control.

The packaging is quite interesting. It’s a cardboard packaging with quite interesting illustrations. I am actually on the edge on how this cardboard(y) packaging going to last in a long run. This is definitley going to be one of my most abused products and I am not sure how this would survive the wear and tear. So as interesting as the packaging looks, I am slightly on the edge of really loving it. It’s almost weightless though so makes it a perfect travel companion. ๐Ÿ™‚

It comesย with a lovely mirror fixed on the inside.

Overall, one of the best contouring powders I have come across. I am obsessed with this one. This would work on all skin tones. The greyish undertones makes it looks very natural and part of your skin. Especially in photographs, this brings out the contours in most natural way. ๐Ÿ™‚ Can easily call it my HG contouring powder. ๐Ÿ™‚

Swatch :bahama mama swatch

Don’t even know how I was surviving without these two products from The Balm. I haven’t stopped using Mary Lou Manizer since the day I have got it.

Have used the bronzerย in the FOTD below (more natural way) and HERE, (more chiselled way)ย HERE, HERE. ๐Ÿ˜€ Obsession of another level. ๐Ÿ˜›the balm face

FOTD : Contoured using bronzer and Mar Lou Manizer used as a highlight. I have used the Bahama Mama Bronzer for contouring HERE as well.ย bahama mama

    1. hey sabrina, good to see your comment after a while. ๐Ÿ™‚ Give it a go. This is more of a contouring product. if you are looking for that bronzed glow, body shop does a good one! :)) thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Hi Rati. Iโ€™m actually confused if I should buy this Bahama Mama Bronzer. Because I already have the MAC matte Bronzer. But I was looking for a drug store one. Also can you suggest some good affordable brush to apply a Bronzer, to get that chizeled look.
