My Experience with The Balm Meet Matt(e) Trimony Matte Eyeshadow Palette
I abbbsolutely love eyeshadow palettes from the Balm. They come in these sleek cardborad packaging with a magnetic closure. There is huge mirror fixed on the inside. The Balm palettes have the quirkiest names. 😀 This one is Matt. He is basically a ‘Marriage Matte(e)rial”. 😀 He enjoys long walks on the beach, creamy eyeshadows and fabulous liners.
There are 9 eyeshadows in this palette in rectangular pans. This palette has a gorgeous mix of browns, plums and a black. The shades in the palette are such that you can easily go from day to night with a single palette. I really love the addition of pink and plums in the palette. This makes it a little different from the regular neutral palettes you may have in your collection. The eyeshadows are velvetty smooth and have the most gorgeous pigmentation. They don’t crease or fade even after long 8-10 hour days. Also, these eyeshadows don’t go patchy at all. I’d most definitely always suggest you to use an eyeshadow primer underneath if you have oily lids. These eyeshadows also don’t have any fall outs. They are very easy to blend and work with. The matte black eyeshadow is the only one that goes on a bit patchy but nothing that a few strokes of brush cannot fix. Following is the description of 9 shades in the palette.

Matt Lin : a creamy whitish beige. It’s an excellent highlight color and also a great overall lid color. You can also use it on the inner corner of the lids.
Matt Thomas : A beautiful pale pink color. It’s not the kind of pinks that you would find difficult to use. On days when your eyes are looking dull, you could just add a wash of this shade and eyeliner, your eyes would look awake instatly. This also goes very well with the plum shades in the eyeshadow palette.
Matt Rossi : A stunning mauve brown color. It’s the kind of shade you cannot go wrong with. This color adds a bit of mystery to the eyes. It is also a great transition shade.
Matt Lopez It is my most favourite transition color these days. It’s a soft peachy brown and I barely do any eye makeup look without using this.
Matt Kumar : A soft reddish plum color. Excellent for doing smokey eyes. It reminds me of MAC Eyeshadow Folie.
Matt Moskowitz : A stunning wine plum shade. Smokey eye with a twist, you git it!
Matt Evans : A soft brown shade. Great for just an overall wash of color or can be used in combination with any other dark color from the palette.
Matt Reed : A dark chocolate brown color. For prettiest chocolate brown eyes.
Matt Ahmed : A deep deep dark matte black. Unfortunately this one goes a bit patchy on the lids. But you can fix it with a bit of blending.

Overall, it is an abssooolutely fabulous palette and a great addition in any makeup lovers wardrobe. I use my Balm palettes the most among any other palettes these days.These are just so versatile. Plus the sleek packaging makes these a great travel partners. I end up carrying them with me all the time.
Highly recommend these. You’d fall in love with their eyeshadows. 🙂
