The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Gel Review

Hello beautiful ladies,

I am super excited today as I am about to share with you all a new launch by The Body Shop. It is the Aloe Soothing Gel from their Aloe range. It has been launched very recently and I believe it has been targeted for the summers, but I could not resist picking this up as I have always been keen on trying new stuff. Read on to know how it fared for my combination skin which tends to be a little dry in winters.

The packaging needs a lot of elaboration. This is a transparent tube which has to be stored upside down. The gel inside is transparent as well. All details about the product are printed on both sides of the inverted tube. There is a white colored dispenser which can be controlled on how much product you want for every use. The nozzle is protected with a transparent plastic cap. It is a small tube and hence travel friendly. There is no chance of spillage while carrying it in handbag.

Texture:

The gel is completely transparent. It glides on very smoothly and only a little bit is required for the full face. There is no sticky or oily feeling to this gel.

Price:

Approximately Rs. 795/- for 30 ml.

My Experience with The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Gel:

As I said, I always lookout for new products, though all of them do not score high, Body Shop stuff has rarely failed me. So when I spotted this, I knew I had to get this. On application, the gel feels slightly cool, but the cooling sensation disappears after a while. Only two pumps dispense enough product for the whole face. So, I am guessing this is going to last me a while. On massaging, there is absolutely nothing on the skin. Some gels have a sticky feel, but with this..no no!

I hate sticky creams/lotions/gels and this has no sticky feel at all. Just after applying, you touch the skin and you have only hydrated skin – no stickiness, no oiliness. I apply this both at night and day and I am left with super hydrated and youthful happy skin. As there is no SPF in it, if you have plans of going out, do put on a sunscreen. Also, I must mention that foundation glides better on this and I have a feel that I have applied primer on my face. One product, two benefits. Now that’s called a smart product!
