The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Butter Review

Hello sweethearts,

By now, you all know how much I looove hydrating, moisturizing hand creams. 😀 So how come body butters will stay away from “my most loved” list. 😀 As my glazed apple body butter was coming to an end (oh yes! I am eating that up 😛 ), I had to stock some more body butters. And lots of ongoing offers on TBS made my task a tad bit easier. You see, I just told hubby that it is on discount. 😛 (Though he knows, I would have bought it for sure even if it wasn’t. 😉 ). I bought this mainly because of two reasons: firstly, I like rose fragrance and secondly because of its 24-hour hydration claim. So, how it fared on my hydrometer, 😛 Let’s find out. 😀

The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Butter

Product Description:

Escape to the valley of roses. A luxurious, quickly-absorbed Body Butter infused with Atlas Mountain Rose. This bright, dewy blend of floral accords was inspired by dawn in a field of blossoming roses.

  • Provides 24-hour hydration.
  • Leaves skin feeling softer and smoother.
  • Buttery texture.
  • Fresh rose scent.

Price:

$20 (I got it at 50% discount :D)

Ingredients:

Packaging:

It comes in the standard TBS tub packaging. The tub is white colored with the images of mountains, buildings, trees and of course roses. 😀

Directions For Use:

Massage into the skin – be generous! – and allow to sink in before dressing. It works even better straight after a bath or shower.

My Experience with The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Butter:

I looove roses, well who doesn’t!! The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Butter smells wonderful. The fragrance is just awesome. It does smells like blossoming roses and the smell is very natural and not artificial at all. Though I love rose fragrance, it has to be very specific, otherwise very strong scents give me a headache. I have tried The Body Shop’s Wild Rose variant as well, but found this fragrance to be better. I sometimes feel that the fragrance of the wild rose one is too strong. This one is mild and natural.

The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Butter

It smells amazing but to my disappointment the smell did not last for long on my body. It lasted only for a couple of hours. 🙁 During application, it felt like I am standing in a garden of roses. 😀  The body butter is white in color (and not pink 😛 , I thought it would, because – “ROSES”!! 😛 ) and is very thick in consistency.

It has a very creamy and whipped texture and gets absorbed readily into the skin. I use it just after the shower and it gets absorbed wonderfully into my damp skin and does not leave it greasy at all. It is very moisturizing and hydrating. Though they claim 24-hour hydration; my dry skin did feel moisturized and hydrated for around 18 – 20 hours and I am happy about it. 😀 Though I did feel the need to reapply it on my super duper dry feet, but that is the case with every cream/lotion/body butter, so no issues there.

Pros of The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Butter:

  • Not tested on animals.
  • Beautiful fragrance.
  • Smells of real roses, suits my needs.
  • Fragrance is not too strong, does not gives me a headache.
  • Leaves skin moisturized.
  • Spreads easily and gets absorbed easily.
  • Does not leave any greasy layer on the skin.
  • My dry skin stays moisturized for long, the 24-hour claim may stand true for normal skinned beauties.

Cons of The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Butter:

  • Tub packaging (may be a con for some).
  • The fragrance does not last for long.

Would I Repurchase The Body Shop Atlas Mountain Rose Body Butter?

Yes, I am loving this fragrance and who doesn’t want to smell like roses. 😛

IMBB Rating:

5/5

Conclusion:

I am loving this fragrance and it suits my needs well. I guess it would suit oily skinned people as well since it does not leave your skin greasy, only the quantity to be used would be reduced. 😀

I will be back with my next review, till take care, stay warm. 🙂
