The Body Shop Blueberry Body Scrub-Gelee Review

I was trying not to finish this product so that I can review about it and tell you more about this product, which I got a month back and finally I managed to save a little for this post. So, on my visit to The Body Shop, I actually went to buy just a hand cream and that’s when the associate told me that they have added this new product, it smells amazing and I should definitely give it a try as people are loving it and one can hardly find it available online on their website.  Also, by getting a second item in my cart, I can get the third one free 😛 So, I ended up getting 3 products. Story of every time!

Product Description:

This gently exfoliating body scrub has an uplifting blueberry scent. Each pot contains Community Fair Trade honey from Ethiopia, made from the nectar of thousands of wildflowers.

Packaging:

It’s in a plastic tub with a light purple-blue colored cap. The tub is pretty transparent so you can see the quantity without opening the cap.

My Experience with The Body Shop Blueberry Body Scrub-Gelee:

I agreed to try this product because of two strong reasons – first one, I was running out of my regular body scrub and one was that this one was in blueberry and I have never seen many blueberry scrubs or body products except in TBS only, I may be wrong in this! Also, I am not a fan of blueberry but the associate told me that this is not a regular scrub, but it’s in a gel form, so I decided to give it a try.

The first thing which I noticed was the strong fragrance of the product, it looks a little bit different, just like a jam as its all dark purple and black, but it smells amazing! The scent is indeed very captivating.

I love this product; it is such a nice exfoliator for my skin right now.  It leaves the skin moisturized, I know it’s not a soap-based scrub, but it still manages to give my skin the right amount of nourishment and smoothness.

The best part which I like about is while using, it made me feel that I am applying a natural/homemade product because there are granules of raspberry& blueberry in the formula.

The product is a bit runny when used in shower, but other than this, I didn’t see any problem after use. The ingredients which are used in this product are from community trade fair that’s why by purchasing this kind of products, you are also helping the body shop CTF program which focuses on issues like women empowerment, education and healthcare.

Pros of The Body Shop Blueberry Body Scrub-Gelee:

• Very strong, captivating, fruity fragrance.
• Does what it says in product description.
• Very good exfoliator.
• Supports community trade fair, a good cause for the society.
• No animal testing.
• Quantity wise, it’s sufficient.
• There is a full range of special edition blueberry body butter, shower gel, lip butter, blueberry sponge.

Cons of The Body Shop Blueberry Body Scrub-Gelee:

• It’s a little bit runny.
• Expensive if not combined with any offer or discounts.
