IMBB introduced me to TBS body butters 😛 I started out with TBS Strawberry Body Butter and from then on, have been stocking up and gifting these butters. For intense winters, when body lotions just don’t provide enough moisturization, these body butters come to the rescue. I am reviewing the Brazil Nut Body Butter today, here’s the review 🙂
Our iconic body butter, in a sweet and nutty scent. The precious secret inside is skin nourishing Community Fair Trade Brazil nut oil. It melts straight to leave skin moisturized for 24 hours.
Rs. 995 for 200 ml.
My Take on The Body Shop Brazil Nut Body Butter:
If you like nutty aromas – like that of cocoa, shea butter, you would love this. I am neutral about this flavour – neither gung-ho about it, nor detest it. Its a nice warm fragrance which is apt for this wintery weather. This thick, creamy, aromatic body butter comes in the usual TBS tub packaging and there is a lot of product in there, which would last me for quite a few months. The butter has a thickly whipped texture, but it spreads nicely and keeps skin moisturized for greater part of the day. The 24-hour claim is not far fetched, but if you have extremely dry skin, you would have to apply again.
Its not greasy and gets absorbed into the skin nicely and the nutty scent lingers for some time before disappearing, it doesn’t certainly stay for hours. The skin feels soft and smooth.
Though some might feel its in a tub packaging and unhygienic, in a tube packaging, it would be difficult to get such a thickly textured cream out.
For winters, it is good for all skin types, but in summers, it might be a little heavy for oily skin, though it would be great for dry skin all weathers. If you have used TBS Strawberry Body Butter, Shea, or Cocoa body butter, the texture is similar to that.
Overall, its a nice, aromatic body butter that provides long-lasting moisturization and will provide you relief from dry skin and leaves skin smoother.
